they are, since warcraft 3 from my knowledge
I'm guessing there will be a Reborn Mech or even Dragon.
So they have yet 1 bad minion to complete the quest. and 4 of their class minions are allready released.
Am glad they made it copy a friendly minion. seems ok that way.
If we have spell "Give a minion reborn" it could be simply used with Immortal Prelate
That would be bad though, Immortal Prelate's deathrattle retains buffs when shuffled into the deck, reborn second copies, if not buffed after the rebirth, would simply dilute the deck.
For everyone complaining about class identity.
I get it. The "copy" is more priest-ish. But do note that sir finley is now a "paladin" and they are exploring uldum in which they find various power-ups. The main part of the quest is playing Reborn minions. Reborn keyword to me has kind of a revive-paladin-ish feel to it. The quest reward on the other hand dus feel like a priest identity, BUT my take on it is that the "uldum artifacts" gives them that kind of hybrid edge.
All in all I'm excited for any change in the meta. Changes of any kind to a game make it possible to try and keep that fresh feel.
Don't forget Desperate Stand is literally giving Reborn, though I bet nobody was thinking about mummies when they designed that one.
Also too paladins are basically combat priests so it makes since for them to get access to the priest BS from time to time. Just not board clears blizzard plz don't give paladins dragonfire potion or psychic scream.
Not sure if there will be a deck that wants this and also is willing to complete the quest.
This is a card that will not be good this expansion, maybe next one or in another future one, since reborn minions is something really new, I doubt this will have enough support to be easier to complete. Also, wrong class...
Viable at wild
But there aren't reborn cards from wild expansions so...
Mechs with reborn?
class identity and flavor is so of putting for this card it hurts. Copy is literally in the class strengths of priest that they posted not even a month ago. How is this in the kit of holy warriors?
It's strength in numbers!
Class identity means defining and not exclusive.
If you include Wild cards, then Mage, Druid and Shaman can copy minions as well.
I think this is probably the best quest reward revealed so far in this expansion. I just hope we get some more control oriented reborn minions, (something with a taunt maybe) and not just agressively stated low cost ones
Guys, Deathrattle is not the same as Reborn
While the hero power is really cool, there's something I don't like about this:
All the other quests shown so far were relatively easy to complete, maybe require some build-around, but have future potential as the game moves on. This one requires a very specific deck with a bunch of Reborn minions, and since Reborn will likely be a keyword limited to Uldum and not carry over to other sets just like Adapt, Overkill, Recruit etc., this deck can't really evolve.
Awaken the Makers or Fire Plume's Heart can get more interesting over time with new Deathrattle and Taunt minions and interactions. Untapped Potential has no deck requirements whatsoever to get completed, and will only get better as more Choose One cards get added over the years. Kangor's Endless Army will always limit you to the same magnetic effects that we have today, but you can still use all other mechs new and old to apply magnetic effects to.
For this, however, there will (probably) never be new Reborn-related cards, and whatever cool thing you can do with the hero power, your deck will likely always include the same 6-10 cards just to get the quest completed.
Unless Team5 intends to treat Reborn like Lifesteal or Rush, which they haven't commented on so far, this is a bit of a bummer. :(
150% Agree with you, I even made a post predicting that the Paladin Quest will relate to quantity over specific types of minions (1-Health). Found here . I am excited for a change in Paladin's direction, I hope they release some decent Reborn minions to make this work. I am positive we will see a Reborn Legendary minion and perhaps a decent Reborn Paladin minion.
