Shaman Card Revealed - Plague of Murlocs
PlayHearthstone Twitter just revealed a new Saviors of Uldum card for Shaman: Plague of Murlocs.
This is the third of 4 reveals for community progress in the Blackrock Crash Tavern Brawl.

The Shackhouse YouTube Channel posted a video with the Plague of Murlocs spell in action. What's more, in the aftermath of the spell you can catch a glimpse of the yet-to-be-revealed Sir Finley. He's a 2 attack, 3 health minion, but with no cost or effect yet revealed.

I don't think people arguing over Devolve and Plague of Murlocs don't see the big picture when it comes to Wild.
It's added support to make Devolve even nastier, because most of the Murlocs are already dirt cheap, and for eight mana, you can play Plague of Murlocs, Devolve, and Lightning Storm and fill a Big Priest's res pool with useless shit. Extra brownie points if one of the Murlocs devolved into Doomsayer, because now that card is in the res pool.
If this isn't a more pronounced "go fuck yourself" card for Big Priest, then I don't know what is.

no one talking about hybrid shaman, this is a dream card for hybrid shaman, imagin mutating all those 1/1 elementals to murlocs and buffing them with Warleader, this card and new quest is a huge buff for midrange murlocs, im sure if not tier 1 its gonna be at the ceiling of tier 2
Ohh lookie, what do we have here. A propper circle-jerk hate wagon rolling over Big Priest in Wild. I for one haven't played a sinlgle game in wild nor do I intend to, so lets talk about standard since no-one does.
Priest is below avarage if not utter crap in standard regardless of the deck as it is, but this single card makes the entire class unplayable . Since MB is gone any rez/nomi/combo variation is dead in the water. This also goes for any mech synergy decks like paladin or hunter (very strong vs post-rexard in other variations as well), any giant mage variation or big minion based control deck at all (Lucembark, any future control locks/paladins). Same with reborn or deathratle decks.
It seems that the only unaffected decks would be Control warrior and some ultra fast face decks flooding the board with cheap crap. Nothing like countering more than half of the meta with a 3 cost card.
Nah fam, better than devolve cuz -1 mana cost on opponents 7/8/9/10 mana minions still can be hard
I don't understand - Big Priest is Tier 3 in wild (according to vicioussyndicate) so why do you hate it so much?
If you have problem with Priest in wild then go play standard - there Priest is tier 99.
You more or less cant play any control deck in wild because big priest is so broken, and its like 1/3 deck is big priest. So thats why ppl have a problem with it. It kills the fun in wild. And wild is very fun when not play vs broken 0 skill big idiot priest :)))))))))
Big Priest definitely isn't Tier 3. It's either Tier 1 or 2 depending on the day.
Basically it's a huge gatekeeper for Control decks. The only other Value oriented Control decks that somewhat can compete in the Big Priest shaped meta-environment, are Odd Warrior, Jade Druid and to a lesser extent Warlock variants (Reno, Cube). All other control decks are combo oriented decks, even the top tier Quest Mage is always Timewarp+x+x+x... a flex combo deck.
Big Priest is a control deck that can bypass it's own restrictions (which is the high cost of its minions). It is a Control deck and a midrange deck at the same time and due to that it kills both archetypes.

Very interesting card it has it's strengths and weaknesses but I'd say the strengths outweigh the weaknesses of it. I'd say it's mana cost is a little too low though wouldn't be suprised to see it upped to 4-5 when they patch changes after first few months of testing.
Good Match ups - Any Mid to Late game decks, Bad Matchup - Lackey, Zoo, or swarm type decks pretty much stop the use of this card unless you have Lightning Storm or some over board clear.

Not necessarily better than Devolve
If you're ahead on board, you wouldn't want to Plague of Murlocs but you would want to devolve your opponents board. Devolve is almost always playable but [card]Plague of Murlocs[card] is more situational.
Interesting that it's specifically worth considering for Murloc aggro / midrange decks because Random Murlocs is probably about what your board was anyway (kind of like Shrink Ray in a divine shield 1/1 deck but 2 mana less)
why would you play this if your deck is built around getting the board in the first place? this is stall / control card...

Yogg: a buildaround card that could close out a game on its own (for One side or the other) 100% at random or at least that gave an immense swing to the game
This...thing that (while It May Be good vs resurrect , buff or big decks) doesn't REALLY stop swarm decks,nor does It save you from burn and won't help in the slightest at killing your opponent (unless you count a 2/1 charge murloc as burst)

Это уже по факту одна из самых сильных карт,по крайней мере на бумаге, но не забываете,что всегда подвох есть - эту карту также легко убить и ее ни 1 шаман не будет играть. Просто в качестве мини нерфа близы введут какого нибудь нейтрального тяжелого жирного мурлока -просто туша без абилок под арену - даже 1 хватит. Скажем 5-7, что-то в этом роде(близы это могут) и все, шам кастует на радостях этот спел а там у противника полный стол жирных тушек и не факт,Что новая зачистка уберет все. Так что раньше времени ни кого хоронить не нужно.
