Although the card art will be pretty dop in HD I don't really like Minion's that require over types to be activated mainly as their either extremely powerful (Draconoid Operative) or too inconsistant to be good (Sunreaver Warmage).
Baron is a prime example Rogues have access to more lackey's than anyone else and normally they have to hold a lackey in hand until they can play both in the same turn to get his effect. Shamans have no where near that level of lackey generation and in the archetype I could see them playing this card I can't picture them holding a lackey till turn 4+ just for 3 damage.
Blizzard on class identity - ''When looking at the fantasy of each class we want to capture the emotion of the class through gameplay. That could mean charging headfirst into battle as a Warrior, wielding devastating magical spells as a Mage, or plotting the perfect combination of moves as a Rogue. Once we know what makes a class tick, we can make better decisions about what cards fit and empower that fantasy.''
Also Blizzard - Here Shaman, have a SI:7 Agent
You forgot to mention that shaman has great beast synergy.
Not like you gonna have to curve it on 3 necessarily...? I mean, you can, with Coin, but otherwise it's a VERY good play to just generate some Lackeys and then throw one on 4 + this. Don't see how this will become less good later in the game either. When you trigger the effect, this card is worth at least 4 Mana. So if you combine it with a Lackey in one turn, then you got yourself quite the Tempo swing either way.
See it as a smaller version of Fire Elemental with a (very small) condition, or maybe even a better comparison: Blackwing Corruptor. You can use it to pass Taunts, to add that last bit of chip you need. I'd just rate it 5 stars because it's definitely gonna see play in Lackey Shammy.
Overrated. It is really good but also can be played around quite easily, just destroy their Lackey on two to prevent them from playing this on three.
Past its curve it isn't that great anymore.
I am a wild player btw. I think this could make it into Shudderwock Shaman but I don't think it's broken. The new quest however will be what is going to push the deck into Tier 2 at least.
3/3 for 3 is an alright tempo play when necessary; even-more-powerful SI:7 is just nuts when it works.
Super strong, super good, almost OP, but the condition of controlling a lackey makes it a 4 star card at least. IMO
Wasps with frickin' laser beams!
So Lackeys are still a thing. Wonder if we'll get new ones.
They said that there are going to be five lackeys for expansion until the last expansion this year
Really good card, will probably warrant inclusion of EVIL Cable Rat into all versions of aggro shaman (murloc, overload and hybrid in other words) to support it better, will definitely see play in those).
Shaman Tokens Murlocs with Quest INCOMING
Token shaman will be insane, 2 cards revealed already that makes it possibly a very reliable archetype.
really good because Shaman is the only EVIL class that has quick access to lackeys in Sludge Slurper
Literally play Sludge turn 1, lackey turn 2, Wasp in turn three.
All while your opponent just sits there turn 2 and lets the lackey live :p
oh god why, they didn't learn from the aggro shaman days
No they learned they just want to have another deck in the meta that can keep control in check. So you like having a meta with one dominate class and two that are sometime competitive while the other 6 sit on the sideline watching?
Right, it's not as if the meta right now is 60% hunter which has 3 viable agro classes right? Oh wait, it is.
Have you watched the Grandmasters series? Hunter doesn't exist in the tournament format, which is what the meta is. Ladder is is not the meta it's just random decks that do well in random matches. If all those hunters had to face Warrior all the time hunter would disappear.
