Saviors of Uldum - Official Announcement
Quote from BlizzardNow that the magical floating city of Dalaran is firmly within his kleptomaniacal clutches, Arch-Villain Rafaam and his crew of notorious ne’er-do-wells have travelled south to Uldum - the land of hidden treasures, plagues, mummies, and (thanks to the League of E.V.I.L.’s arrival) MAYHEM!
Though their ultimate goals are still shrouded in mystery, the next phase of their plan appears to be well underway. Now, if only there were a motley crew of courageous treasure hunters up to the task of thwarting these misguided malcontents…
Evil may be on the rise in the dusty deserts of Uldum, but hope is here in the form of the League of Explorers! Join Reno, Elise, Brann, and Sir Finley as they unearth treasures, battle bad guys, and take on the oh-so-simple task of saving the world in Hearthstone’s newest expansion, Saviors of Uldum!
Launching worldwide on August 6, Saviors of Uldum is Hearthstone’s newest expansion, and the next installment in our multi-expansion story spanning the entire Year of the Dragon. In Saviors of Uldum you’ll be introduced to 135 scorching hot new cards, added game features, and brand-new exciting mechanics!
EXPLORE THE SANDS OF ULDUM
REBORN
The magic of Azeroth’s Titans and Tol’vir has seeped into the dunes of Uldum’s ancient burial tombs. Now, death is more of a suggestion for the restless crypt-dwellers and temple-crawlers found within.
New Keyword – Reborn
Minions with the Reborn Keyword will return to life the first time they’re destroyed, but with 1 remaining Health.
PLAGUES
The League of E.V.I.L. will stop at nothing to see their dastardly plans come to fruition… even if there’s a little collateral damage along the way.
Introducing – Plagues
Plagues are spells of ancient power wielded by the 5 League of E.V.I.L. classes (Priest, Shaman, Warrior, Warlock, and Rogue.) These cards wreak havoc indiscriminately, affecting every Minion on the board, so it’s best to be the one who decides when they’re unleashed.
QUESTS
No matter if they’re working to further the League of E.V.I.L.’s nefarious goals, or in cahoots with Reno’s ramshackle rapscallions to dismantle those despicable evil-doers, every adventurer worth their sand needs a Quest…
Introducing – Quests
As with existing Quest cards, these Legendary 1-Mana cards start in your hand and, once played, their progress will track above your Hero portrait. After your quest is complete, you’ll be immediately rewarded with a game-changing new Hero Power
MORE NEW AND FAMILIAR MECHANICS
As the dunes churn and cards previously hidden under sands of Uldum are revealed in the coming weeks, you’ll be introduced to some cards with exciting and powerful effects, as well as some familiar returning mechanics. Stay tuned to Hearthstone on social media to find out when new cards will be revealed!

"Reborn" doesn't really make sense to me... That sounds like it has already been revived or something like that?
Wouldn't "Rebirth" make it more clear?
Comments like this are why Blizzard thinks players will be confused by a second page of deck slots.
Dude that song is catchy
Kinda weird to see a murloc mage.
Murloc Mage was a viable deck for a little while, in the last expansion, iirc.
On the art on puzzle box of yogg saron, you can see Reno's hands. It looks like Reno is the mage and Finley the paladin.
Of the four classes, only Paladin has ever had actual Murloc cards.
Reno is for Mage, and Finley is for Paladin.
Dave kosak said this hours ago.
Yes, Mike Donais said on reddit that Reno is mage because he has a mage artifact.
Supreme Archeology indicates that more control-ish style of Warlock is incoming. With some solid support (early AoE removals and healing), this might work. At first glimpse quest looks kinda slow, but it certainly has potential (with Plot Twist, Portal Keeper and Portal Overfiend). Imagine completing quest, then playing Arch-Villain Rafaam. Legendary card for 0 mana on average should be very strong and serve as a nice game finisher. The hype is there :).
MY FUCKING GOD you right, this could be game breaking :)
amazing
anyone has any idea when the reveals will start?
Blizzard when see my wallet:
"Ah, shit, here we go again"
Plauge of Death art is so good. And sadface for the last time we see a new expansion annoucement on hearthpwn.
Dude, the supposed "shutdown" date was last week. It didn't happen. It's not going to happen. Get with the program.
Other than that filler 1/1, this all seems promising.
I sure hope all reborn would be awesome as that mummy, sure makes Town Crier even better now, but even without that it's such a great board-control tooI don't see it not run in practically every warrior deck (missing a spot? just put it instead of Militia Commander to get rid of all those pesky rogue 3/3s or Scavenging Hyena, though I think finding a place for both isn't that hard).
The filler is quite good on zoolock
It's too slow... For 1 mana you want that effect as a deathrattle or a 1/3.
While you still have plenty of those it won't be run, and even after rotation it's questionable.
The 1/1 is good for Quest Hunter too.
Not saying it makes the deck Tier 1 or anything, but it's got uses.
For a minute there I thought you said "Quest Hunter"...
Wait, you indeed in fact say something that's hasn't been in standard for ages now and wasn't viable even when it was. even then there's like 3 wild cards just off he top of my head I'd rather have in my deck.
There might be something that makes a 1/1 deathrattle good, currently there isn't.
