Deciding to close HearthPwn, along with a handful of other community websites, wasn’t an easy decision for our company, but we could no longer justify the substantial engineering resources it took to run the properties. It was a sad day in our office when we announced the sunsetting of many beloved sites.
Previously, we weren’t able to entertain selling the sites because they were built on a proprietary platform. It would be a monumental task for an external engineering team to maintain or migrate the communities. Knowing this, we announced the site closures, but just as the sun slowly began to set for these properties, a figure appeared . . .
As of this week, we’ve identified a company with the necessary experience to buy and run these sites (including HearthPwn), so that the passionate communities will continue to have homes on these long-standing sites. With this, we have started to transfer the sites to Magic Find. As for the staff on these sites, it will be up to them and Magic Find to decide how they’d like to move forward.
This isn’t the end for HearthPwn. It’s a new and exciting beginning. We wish Magic Find the best as we say goodbye to several of the properties that helped our company grow into what it is today.
This will be the last update from Curse/Fandom. All future communications will be from the new site owner.
First you took my username and then bad mouth flux, you've got nerve posting this

Haha right, fuck off kid. Flux is a huge asshole and he deserves this.
Thanks for the good news!! and good luck!
Roses are red
Violets are blue
People are moving to OutOfCards
And I'm doing it too

Don't support that disgusting pile of shit.
I was originally going to stay on both sites until I heard the shit you pulled on Flux only to backpedal and try to get him back as staff.
Feel free to delete my account, I'm going over to Flux's new and better site.
Well, this will be my last post on Hearthpwn. I've already moved over to Out of Cards (https://outof.cards). Here's an easy way to help you decide. Despite the wonderful content, the ad and loading situation here has always been abysmal. But that's the site's business model, and I'm not really interested in who takes it over for that kind of value. Fluxflashor has already committed to no ads on outof.cards. He's able to do that because he understands how the content and community drives the site, not ad revenue. I'm following him and the community there. I trust them to do it right because they've been doing it right for years. The value here is not going to the same url out of habit. It's following the content creators you trust.
Dick move does not cover what happened here. But like many others, I will speak with my patronage rather than my words.
Thank you to the former leadership, certainly not the ownership of HearthPwn. I'll see the rest of the community on OOC.
In the future, Curse, maybe consider the wishes of those who have been loyal to you.. the front line people like Flux, your user base and the community who MADE your site what it is.. before you slam the door and pry it open just to sell it off for a few bucks. It's despicable as business practices go and will make me always remember, and think twice, before supporting any venture of the Curse Gaming network.
Fandom, the company that bought Course, is known for doing the exact opposite. We know what to expect.
@ the new owners:
You know, back when I was in 7th grade, my class teacher talked about the things, which make a school an elite one. He told us, that the fancy technology and the outward appearance of the building pale before the teacher staff and the students, who attend it. If we remove those from the building, we wouldn't have an elite school anymore. And he was right.
What I'm trying to say is that although hearthpwn is an established site, if the majority of beloved users, that made the forum what it is right now, go to OOC, hearthpwn won't be the same anymore. And it will lose a lot of popularity especially due to how the ownership transfer was made in the last minute.
I've fulfilled all of final wishes on this site, so there is nothing keeping me here.
The Apocalypse has finally arrived. Take care.

P.S. I find the adjectives "new", "exciting" etc, that Blizzard employees constantly use for their Q&As, rather cliche.

Bye chaud, bye mmo-champion, bye hearthpwn
welcome alternative sites aka wowhead or outofcards
I'm not sure whose comment you're replying to, but I don't think it was mine. I certainly made zero comment about anyone else wanting to stay here, and there's no self-righteousness evident either. I expressed a reason and intent for my leaving, no more.
"It was a sad day in our office when we announced the sunsetting of many beloved sites."
No it wasn't, cut the bullcrap.
And nice move on Flux btw.
Hmm, should I still go OutOf.cards ...
Does OutOfCards have a dedicated Wild section?
they'll have one, I'm sure they are working on it
Not yet, but they have the people who made Hearthpwn possible.
Does anyone actually know who Magic Find is? I can't find anything about the company or what other things they do :( talk about bad SEO! Using a phrase that is a part of loads of video games pshhhhh
