Buffs are to Boomsday only xd
I mean she was always intended to be bad tho
I'm just gonna be the edgy contrarian here and say that these buffs are a bad idea.
Basically what they are doing is enforcing SPECIFIC cards and saying "how about you play this, it's better now"
Like, some of these cards are still basically useless despite the buffs (Boomzooka pretty much is no different than before. If there wasn't a deck for it then there's not gonna be one now) But then you have some stuff like Thunderhead (which is already pretty good and mostly held back by the fact that there just isn't any deck that really uses it right now) or the two Warrior mechs which will never be included in any actual deck but now you've basically just buffed Omega Assembly and Boom MAd Genius
I mean, I'm glad that cards like Extra Arms and Dr. Morrigan which were seemingly deliberately understatted were made more...appropriate, but I feel like this set a dangerous precedent where Blizzard can basically decide which archetype works out by just retroactively buffing them into viability.
Like...buffing Pogo Hopper is really unnecessary. The entire deck is basically JAdes + Quest Rogue on steroids and only held back by the fact that Rogue can do fuck all to actually protect themselves to stall until their hoppers are big enough.
If they wanted to actually buff cards, why didn't they go for the ones that were negatively affected by nerfs (for example buffing stuff like Cannon Barrage and Necrium Vial now that Prep is nerfed)
I'm still looking forward to see how this plays out but I dislike the idea of Blizzard being the ones who decide which decks are being played. Part of the game is trying new cards and seeing whether they can work. King Krush was terrible until Kathrena came along. Now we won't even need future support cards to reshape archetypes if they can just buff stuff into playability. With this logic we would have never gotten stuff like Jeklik, Shriek or Reckless Diretroll...they#D just buff the Quest Reward to push Quest Warlock.
So instead of removing Dr.Boom from the game they decided to buff some of the random mecha he gets from his hero power or omega assembly..
Niceee... niceee...
just means they get an excuse to nerf him later
Bonkers: Necromechanic, Crystology, Extra Arms, Pogo-Hopper, Thunderhead, Security Rover & Beryllium Nullifier (off of Omega Assembly & Dr. Boom)
Very Good: Gloop Sprayer, Mulchmuncher, Unexpected Results, Luna's Pocket Galaxy, Violet Haze, The Storm Bringer, Spirit Bomb
Not Quite Good Enough: Flark's Boomzooka, Glowstone Technician, Cloning Device, Dr. Morrigan
Needs to be Nerfed ASAP: Reckless Experimenter/Sn1p-Sn4p combo
Looks like Mech warrior is here to stay...
This! A friend showed me this in class and I thought it was fan-made. I litteraly sprinted down to the library to confirm that this is real. Never been so excited over Hearthstone before!
This is the greatest thing I've ever seen in the history of Hearthstone. And a free golden Leg on top of it, Holy Shit! I've never been so excited for the game in my life. This is huge for the future of the game and literally historical. I'm so fucking excited right now!!
Blizzard : We nerf Tempo rogue.
Me : welp...
Blizzard : Pogo Rabbit is now 1 mana.
Me : *EVIL Grin
Rafaam is proud of you now EVILY proud.
What the actual fuck? So they sometimes DO listen? I'm just dumbfounded right now. Nicely done as a lot of those cards felt bad opening. I'm glad I didn't disenchant those beforehand shitty cards. After the last adventure, it's the second time I'm thinking "well done blizzard" in the span of a week. A week. I'll be damn.
This compensates for the GoT ending pretty well!
it doesnt but i get your point
Waiting for someone to demand dust refund !!!!!!
Why there should be any ? It is buff not nerf
hey somebody already complains that "buffs" to druid cards break their psychmelon shenanigans LUL
"Gne gne gne now I can't play The Storm Bringer in my 30% WR Odd Shaman gne gne Dust refund Blizzard!!!"
Just wait for something on this line. Just wait.
so now warrior gets a little nerf by making mech decks stronger with this echo legendary card
Crystology is officially busted. Pogo will be a real deck (possibly with Magic Carpet).
