exactly what i thought :D
No no, im serious. Blizz said they would refund dust whenever they changed cards because it had something to do with the feeling of owning the cards. Like you wouldn't be able to nerf irl cards.
He’s right, they said “changed”, not just nerfed.
This year blizzard seems to be really nailing it. Keep up whit the good work!!
This is a joke right? This is literally the first really good thing they have done. the rest has been nothing but a disaster.
Like what Dallaen?
They hall of Famed Genn and Baku, plus all the other odd and even only cards, and that brought so much fresh air back to standard. Now you don't match up against the same five tier one decks for the past year. Plus the changes to arena so it keeps feeling fresh is also good.
If blizzard does not take good actions, they will continue to lose players...
Thoughts:
Sn1p-Sn4p: A potential OTK too early priest, and possibly absurd buff for mech-heavy types (Dr. Boom Warriors, mech hunters), not to mention token decks. Will need to be nerfed; should've been left on the cutting floor.
Necromechanic: Some pundits (Kripp, Asmodeus) felt this card was a silent threat on Boomsday previews. Might be its time.
Crystology: Makes a good card greater.
Pogo-Hopper: Jade
Druid2.5 -- Rogue Edition incoming? Wary eye, even though rogues trying to juggle hoppers for months haven't found consistent success. Anyone not playing quick aggro decks should be concerned.Thunderhead: See Crystology.
Security Rover: Won't be carried, but will be coveted by Boom hero Warriors.
Beryllium Nullifier: Ditto.
Gloop Sprayer: Lucentbark druid crowd gets a bone.
Unexpected Results: Tempo/minion mage crowd gets a bone.
Luna's Pocket Galaxy: Wary of this one. (Wild Highlander Control or Big Spell Mage tool?)
Violet Haze: Random tempers it (AFAIK).
The Storm Bringer: Arch-Villain Rafaam lite beer emergency button for Murloc/Totem Shaman.
Spirit Bomb: In case of early game emergency feel.
Flark's Boomzooka: Still a scary theory combo, but haven't seen anyone go for it because Zul'jin doing a pre-nerf Shudderwock act with twinspell wyverns with potentially 8/8 stats and other magically summoned critters is far more effective.
Glowstone Technician: Handbuff paladin was fun, but it never really took off. And it seems underpowered compared to the crap other classes can throw down.
Cloning Device: Thief Priest has the tools, but not the meta to succeed.
Dr. Morrigan: Still not viable.
Extra Arms: Good buff but card rarely seen (but I have seen it used effectively).
If mechs get popular: silences return to decks, EMP operative or Big Game Hunter see play.
And yesterday I thought the next nerf targets would be Conjurer's mage and Zul'jin hunters.
this means now I can have some hope for my millhouse manastorm and lorewalker cho.
the keyword echo will get removed from SN1P-SN4P. Mark my words.
not only because they would be printing a boomsday card with witchwood specific keyword on it, but also because of potentially broken af combo with:
Coppertail Imposter + Reckless Experimenter + SN1P-SN4P
I don't know how even to comment this? Is this first April joke? I just feel somehow not comfortable even to see buffs in hearthstone :). But every change, is good to come. I just pray after all this lowering of mana, to not happen that we have some new OTK decks. HS is sooooooooooooo goooooood without this STUPID OTK deck which was last 4 months of Raven year.
I don't like design of sn1p-sn4p. Looks a bit imbalanced to me. I don't understand the point of doing that. And especially with echo.
Something which is pretty strange... instead of buff to lets say Booms Ship, we saw buff of two of really good warrior card. Both rover and berilium are good like that. Noone put them in deck, but discovering them is really good.
I'm hoping for a new OTK. We don't have a decent one at the moment, and it's the funnest deck archetype, (in my opinion of course).
You just got one : Priest with reckless experimenter + snip snap + any mech that survived the previous turn = infinite damage… Kinda scary how easy and early this can happen… as soon as turn 4 on coin or 5...
Finally something good for Warlock, Dr. Morrigan seems very viable right now shuffling those copies will be more consistent as I wished for.
Back to the meta bitches
Coppertail was just an example. You can have any mech on board and Priest can draw SN1P-SN4P with Dead Ringer. The only 'if' card is Reckless Experimenter if anything but then again you have a full mulligan and 5 turns to draw 1 of your two copies. It may seem impractical but then again Barnes Hunter seemed impractical but that low percentage chance of getting Barnes by 4 or 3 w/ coin turned into almost guaranteed wins. In this instance we're talking about actual lethal on Turn 5, the only luck is getting the combo not having your Y'Shaarj stay alive.
You could also just create a Nomi Priest that uses this combo that way you have two win conditions. Or better yet, forget Nomi and just run Auctioneer Priest with this combo. Who needs Turn 5 lethal when you can have lethal the turn after you draw your deck?
Flying Machine + Reckless Experimenter + SN1P-SN4P
Is anyone else going to talk about how SN1P-SN4P has an infinite Turn 5 lethal combo on Priest?
Turn 4 Coppertail Imposter + Turn 5 Reckless Experimenter = GG?
You should have those exact cards in your hand by turn 5 tho: not very practical
