How Zayle, Shadow Cloak Works + All Five Decklists
The new Dalaran adventure that releases this Thursday comes with a new awesome card that works like our friend Whizbang the Wonderful. Instead of the regular deck recipes though, Zayle has 5 special E.V.I.L. decks.
Obtaining Zayle, Shadow Cloak
There are two ways to obtain Zayle.
- Purchasing the entire adventure gives you a golden Zayle, Shadow Cloak.
- This can be done with money right away ($20) or gold as the wings come out (700 per wing).
- You must own the entire adventure before you'll get golden Zayle. You do not need to complete it.
- Crafting through 1600 dust gives you the normal version of Zayle, Shadow Cloak.
- The ability to craft a normal Zayle will unlock on Thursday when the adventure releases.
The Decks
There are five decks that Zayle provides. They are all E.V.I.L! Each deck comes from the class that represents each member of the League of E.V.I.L. and internally is referred to as such. Example: "Boom's EVIL Deck".

Posted May 16, 2019 (Rise of Shadows)It's definitely not. The addition of things like Spirit of the Rhino weakens the deck (same with Shark in the Tempo Rogue deck). Great for beginners, but definitely not optimal.

Posted May 15, 2019 (Rise of Shadows)Thats BS. Any offical source? (Beside, we all know that Blizz doesnt introduce real adventures anymore because they were a better deal for players. E.g. 1 Wing for 700g equals atleast 1 legendary, plus epic, etc)
You were able to buy adventures with gold just like you can buy packs. And you were able to disenchant adventure cards.

Posted May 15, 2019 (Rise of Shadows)I dont know is it intentionally or accidentally, but all of this deck are a bit tuned down from meta decks. They are good in general but there are few useless cards, which can be removed. For example bomb warrior dont need akali and spirits for sure. Even if spirits work well with dr boom and mechs. But after all this is only for fun decks, not competitive for sure.

Posted May 15, 2019 (Rise of Shadows)I come across Silence Priest on the rare occasion. I never see Plot Twist Warlock though.
All in all these decks aren't completely terrible. People should be able to use Zayle to reach rank 5. I wouldn't want to do a legend grind with them though. They are all a little too greedy to be competitive but I suppose that they did have to include each EVIL villain card.
* Priest - Madame Lazuldoesn't help much because even if you know what your opponent has you don't have that many options to play around it. Seems playable although I don't think it's fast enough to take out control.
* Rogue - Oh dear this is a mess. This is less like Tempo Rogue and more like Thijs' Control Rogue. What the heck is Bloodmage Thalnos doing in here? It all seems rather clunky with some really questionable choices. Let's throw a bunch of rogue cards and see if it works! I will say that this deck not including Raiding Party is rather telling...
* Shaman - Overall I like this, although I would prefer something with Spirit of the Frog and a few spell changes. What is with no Rain of Toads?
* Warlock - Good luck and always keep Rafaam in the mulligan. That's about all I can say. Against control, you will never have Fel Lord Betrug or Dollmaster Dorian stick around to get value from them. Against aggro you'll have won at that point. I do look forward to seeing videos of late game Dr. Morrigan cycling though.
* Warrior - Even if you just type in "Rush" in the collection manager and add everything doesn't mean that you should ever put in Spirit of the Rhino. After you're done adding all the Rush minions, don't forget to add "Bomb" as well. I think the goal was to create a Rush Warrior deck, which you would still include Dr. Boom, Mad Genius in because of the insane value, then they realized that they also needed Blastmaster Boom to fit with the theme. No Omega Devastator which makes me sad, unless that is also a bit telling..

So it seems it's obtainable from the packs right now. And since Blizz didn't say anything about excluding it from the packs, I probably won't open RoS packs until I got the golden version from the Adventure. Because I don't want to drop my pity timer for legendaries by opening Zayle from packs accedentally.
