This Week's Brawl is Henchmania!
The League of E.V.I.L. is hosting henchman auditions! Do you have what it takes!? Choose who you'd like to work for and get a bonus!
Trivia
- This is a brand new PVP brawl!
- This week's brawl rewards a classic card pack.
- A special quest is active. Get a Rise of Shadows Pack by playing the Brawl 3 times.
How it Works
- Choose a hero. You're given a pre-constructed deck and a unique hero power.
- On your first turn, you get to choose which member of the League of E.V.I.L. you want to work for. This gives you a passive effect.
- Play Hearthstone!
Passive E.V.I.L. Effects
There are four effects, one for each member of the League of E.V.I.L.
- Work for Hagatha - At the end of your turn transform a random friendly minion into one that costs (1) more.
- Work for Dr. Boom - Give all friendly minions Deathrattle: Deal 1-2 damage to a random enemy.
- Work for Togwaggle - After you play a Minion add a Coin to your hand.
- Work for Madame Lazul - After you play a spell, gain a copy of a random card in your opponent's hand.
The Heroes
There are nine different heroes you can play. Each hero has a unique hero power.
- Mr. Chu - A "personal safety specialist".
- Class: Warrior
- Hero Power (1): Shuffle an explosive into your opponents deck.
- Candlebeard - Candle and Eyepatch enthusiast.
- Class: Rogue
- Hero Power (1): Give a minion Charge.
- Myra Rotspring - Scientifically proven to be deadly.
- Class: Rogue
- Hero Power (2): Trigger a random friendly minion's Deathrattle.
- George the Fallen - Lost without Karl.
- Class: Paladin
- Hero Power (2): Give all your minions Divine Shield.
- Manhunter Ivan - Hunting without a permit!
- Class: Hunter
- Hero Power (2): Put a random Secret from your deck into the battlefield.
- Voodoomaster Vex - Who do? You do! Do what? Remind me of Vex.
- Class: Rogue
- Hero Power (Passive): All Battlecries and Deathrattles trigger twice.
- Russel the Bard - Here to write an E.V.I.L. anthem!
- Class: Rogue
- Hero Power (2): Gain control of an enemy minion with 2 or less Attack.
- Sephira Dusktalon - She's got claws that catch!
- Class: Druid
- Hero Power (Passive): Whenever your opponent casts a spell, draw a spell from your deck.
- Raeth Ghostsong - Just darn creepy!
- Class: Priest
- Hero Power (1): Deal 1 damage to all minions. If any die, refresh this.
George the Fallen
Wow, my Cho vs Cho only got to 7 fatigue, and I lost because he took Madame Lazul, I took Hagatha. Got my Scheme's off just in time too.
Good fun Brawl as far as mechanics go, good job Blizzard!
I went for Paladin with the 'Coin per minion' ability. Really strong with Drygulch Jailor.
My only gripe is the NPC messages you constantly get that interrupt the start of your turn. Wish I could just click those away and play my games.
Voodoomaster Vex working for Dr Boom feels incredibly OP. The crazy shit that can happen with Aya Blackpaw or the Cube's.
Myra Rotspring might be the best counter for it?
I love rogue and all that but... why four rogue heroes? Shaman, Warlock and Mage had some NPC heroes in past adventures too yet they don't have a representative here.
Other than Blizzard's fault of logic, the brawl is pretty good. I love playing with non-basic heroes and this have some of the coolest mechanics from past adventure... and then you have bomb warrior because they still want to push this idea, but whatever.
I made the 3 games for the quest and liked the brawl so far (Candlebeard and Russel for Togwaggle, Vex for Boom). But I couldn't really enjoy it because the people conceded turn 4-5.
Why?
There were some stupidly unbalanced brawls and that is fine, but this one takes the cake. This has to be the dumbest brawl yet.
I really love it ! Probably one of the most fun
idea is neat... execution not so much.
Also, literally 0 Warlock, Mage or Shaman big bads.... why?
Best. Brawl. Ever!
4/9 classes are Rogues....feels just like ladder
Great fun! The powers can go crazy off one another. Love it.
I love this brawl, good job Blizzard!
I have a hunch that this Brawl is a small preview of the upcoming Adventure. You play as a low ranking member of the League of E.V.I.L. in there, so I am guessing there are guys.
Had a Mr. Cho vs Mr. Cho, both chose to Work for Lazul.
Basically ended up being infinite value (and armour), went on for forever until my opponent got bored and conceded (just after i double Dr Boom's Scheme'd for 22 armour)
I had a similar match except my opponent made the error of not using his Scheme enough. I kept burning spells to try and get the one he had in his hand and made sure to try and use his the same turn I got it.
Game did take forever but we were fatiguing around 14-15 when it ended. Needless to say, I won't be playing that hero again.
Great Brawl. Would say Bomb/10
Love these types of brawls, great fun and no idea what to expect. Had a crack with several combinations so far and it looks to be setting up the pve content really nicely. They've clearly put a lot of time and thought into freshening things up, looking forward to what the pve content has to offer.
Great brawl from Blizzard and it really seems they've put some work in this one. Props to them for that. Although some match-ups are quite unbalanced and some decks in combination with a certain member of the League of E.V.I.L. OP, I still find the brawl enjoyable and maybe one of the better brawls made.
It seems I did, but I thought they give us RoS packs, but I got Rastakhan's instead.
