Hmmm, so it just says: 'Restore 5 Health'. Doesn't say what the source has to be (minion or spell) nor the target.
So any minion or spell that can just do a bit of healing will bring it back. Lifesteal should also count.
Furthermore, when it goes dormant, any effects on it (other than Silence) will be negated.
So any copies of this will also give you a 4/8 Taunt back when they re-activate, regardless of whether the copy was say a 1/1 initially or made from Flobbidinous Floop or from Gloop Sprayer.
Should be interesting to experiment with, especially if any repeatable or end-of-turn healing effects are added to the expansion.
The dormant tokens might also screw up some spells from your opponent when it targets anything adjacent.
Also, this will have an interesting interaction with Da Undatakah. Every time one of these dies, re-activates and dies again, it will count for Da Undatakah, meaning Da Undatakah will eventually give you 3 dormant tokens of this when it dies. Which means 5 Health healed = spawn three 4/8 Taunts.
That's actually an interesting question, will Da Undatakah respawn this minion or another Da Undetakah after it's restored from dormancy? Typically, "this minion" mechanic would retain original minion type, like Shudderwock does when replaying the cloning battlecry. However, if that's the case, the respawned Da Undetakah would not have its battlecry reactivated and therefore the respawned copy wouldn't be able to respawn again.
I think it works like that. 3 copies of undertakah, but as vanilla 8/5 minions should come back
Are you sure the effect stack? That might be OP. Does anyone knows if this actually stacks with Sherazin, Corpse Flower and consecuently gives you 3 dormant sherazin? I have been searching on the web but found nothing about it.
I know multiple effects can stack on Da Undatakah. I've played with Mechanical Whelps and got the deathrattles of both on him.
As for what it brings back, I assume it will still be 4/8 Taunts. I know it says 'this minion' but Sherazin says the same thing but the dormant token that is spawned will always bring back Sherazin. I'm assuming Blizzard will re-use the same game mechanics where the dormant token is set to a specific minion, not what spawned the token itself.
I understand. But still not sure if it will stack the "dormant" status, because it's an effect on the card itself. In this sense, the effect "shuffle this minion into your deck" from Malorne also don't accumulate. Note that it's not exactly the same effect of Astral Tiger since it shuffles A COPY of the card, and not the card itself. In this sense, I think "goes dormant" may accumulate with as many "ressurect this minion" but I'm not sure it would accumulate with itself or with Malorne since these are effects on the card itself too and maybe it follows an order in wich one effect cancels the other.
Lucentbark is a pretty cool card, but as a "one of" in your deck, it's not clear to me that the payoff is good enough to make Heal Druid a thing. Without seeing the last Druid cards, it looks like Rise of Shadows is giving you Crystal Stag, Lifeweaver, and Lucentbark as your payoff cards for using mana to heal. As activators, you're getting Dreamway Guardians and Crystal Power. The payoffs seem to lend themselves mostly to protecting small minions and maintaining board control, and the 1/2 lifesteal Dryads fit nicely into a token healing deck, but spell generation and an 8 mana taunt don't fit nearly as nicely into any token deck. It just seems a little like this theme is all over the place in terms of what it wants to support.
i like the way he looks like
I like the way you talk boy
very good card, but priest is the main hard counter to this card, he can steal it (+2 seance) and then game over for druid
Heal cards at least 5 restore:
- Healing Touch
- Ancient of Lore
- Deranged Doctor
- Alexstrasza
- Crystal Power
Eeeeeeeeeeeeh.... it's not a lot cards. Tier 4 Heal Druid :/
But i hope I'm wrong
Pretty sure alex doesnt count as heal
It does not say "in 1 turn". 1 attack and 1 block with Zilliax would also revive it.
Alexstrasza "sets" life to 15 - she does not heal
but im pretty sure that every Lifesteal will work for that.
You still have some battlecries that heals you in the neutral poll like Earthen Ring Farseer
it also does not say so on other dormant cards, but nonetheless they require their condition to be met in a single turn
If someone waste silence on this card, I think it would be even good for you. Not like this is some incredible OP minion, which make that big threat on the board. People not always carry silence for cube with void lord in it. And if compared to Lich King... Lich King win for sure (or lets say Yssera, cos she is not rotating).
If you Floop this into a 3/4, when it dies and gets resurrected, will it still be a 3/4?
no, it will be resurrected as original
No, I think it will be a 4/8
