Not so great if you need one specific secret, but not bad if you need one of two or three. Like you really need to protect a taunt once, so Noble Sacrifice, Autodefense Matrix, or Redemption works. With seven secrets and two bites at the apple, you have a 5/7 chance of getting a secret you need. If you need one of two secrets you have a 11/21 chance of success. And since it creates the secrets, the secrets you get are in addition to the secrets you have in your deck. So while it probably won't synergize with Secretkeeper, it still could be useful.
This alone definitely won't push secret paladin to be playable but it can be nice addition to some kind of dragon paladin (if it's going to be TIER 1 or 2 deck). As it was stated in some previous comment, it only takes one slot for two secrets and it can disrupt your gameplay or trades. See some potential in this one. 7/10
Honestly, this card can definitely fit into Dragon Paladin. The reason I say that is because its a Twinspell, and as we know for one card slot your getting two copies, so if you put 2 copies of this you get 4 random Secrets. Even though Paladin Secrets at the moment aren't as strong, playing this card will force your opponent to play around everything, and I mean everything. When you play Secret Paladin, you put in Secrets you want and know when to use, this also can be noticed by your opponent, but playing this randomly on a board with minions, it could single-handedly win you the game. Personally, I give it 4.5/5.
This card casts the secret right away so it will be activated immediately, on your turn... and no buff for secret keeper. Seems meeeeh but still might be a tool secret paly wants to use.
Not so sure about that.
Secret Keeper says "Whenever a Secret is played" and the card does cast Secrets. Secret Keeper doesnt care if they are cast from your hand, your opponent or a third party (Desperate Measures, Yogg-Saron, Hope's End...)
eeh no, played mean from hands, opponent or yours, secrets casted doesnt count to secret kepper
Most accurately named card ever.
Desperate Measures is interesting - because of the small pool of secrets after rotation, if you twincast this card, you'll end up with about 37% odds of getting any one particular secret (1/6 + 1/5). Those are decent odds if you need a specific secret in a specific moment, and the value of getting two secrets out of one card might bump this up to playable or even good.
It would actually be 1/3 exactly (you choose 2 from 6 total)
No, it's 1/6 + 1/5 - since you cannot have two of the same secret active at once.
no it is 1/3. if you want to calculate it your way it is 1/6 that you get it the first time + 5/6 that you dont times 1/5. that still makes 1/6+5/6*1/5=1/3. jmps way of claculating the odds is easier though. if you cast it six times it is also 6/6 and not 1/6+1/5+1/4+1/3+1/2+1>1 except you cant have six secrets
Yep that's one way to see it explicitly. But the problem is mathematically the same as the odds of the secret you want being there when you choose 2 (at random) from the total 6 which is 2/6=1/3. I'm not sure why I got so many dislikes, maybe the general public is so bad at basic probability that unless it is very clearly explained they think it's wrong and downvote :(
was surprised as well as I said your way is easier
Mysterious Stranger should just reveal what his business is.
This is getting old.
Thats all the board clears paladin gets :)
thats secret :D
This is an actual "secret" secret
<sigh> Every time a card like this is revealed people go "oh my god, Secret Keeper synergy pog champ!" Guys. No. If it didn't work with all the previous cards, what makes ya'll think this time it will work?
Secretkeeper is an actual good card though.
It's not OP, but it's a great 1-drop that can push extra tempo when playing a secret.
The thing is though, this card doesn't interact with Secretkeeper. You need to PLAY a secret (from your hand), not cast it.
I guess if you cast this twice in a row, then you get 2 random secrets, decent chance one of them is something that you'd like anyway. Me likey. Plus, can trigger auctioneer (but not secretkeeper).
