Anybody reckon when they playtested this, they stuck it into a big priest deck?
Anti Resurrect-Priests on suicide watch.
The archetype is too inconsistent in Standard, but in Wild too OP.
Well done Blizzard.
People only see the resurrect ability and think it will make big priest to strong. But think about it a little deeper. If you pull this from Barns, you pull a very low impact minion. If you pull this from Shadow Essence, you pull a card that does absolutely nothing. Big priest struggle with aggro. This card only makes aggro even more favored against big priest. Really doubt it will see much play in big priest. Pretty sure people will test it out and eventually drop it.
this card dies, res this pull more copies of this LUL
or what if i put it like this: it's a y'shaarj for minons that died this game LUL
This card may resurrect more of it self, but the priest are in most cases trying to stay alive until it can snowball and will in many cases kill a minion pr turn with this card to not get rushed down. It will take several turns before this card actually becomes a big threat. Does big priest not want big immediate threats? Y’shaarj is a big immediate threat, since it summons another big threat instantly. This card needs a greavyard to do antything.
I am perfectly fine with being entirely wrong on all fronts. Just want people to relax a little bit and not panic before we actually know how the card is in play. You may however be right, it may be a strong card. It is just that it is to early to tell. Many cards get over hyped and many proves to be much stronger than predicted.
is the mexico in wow
I didnt even see your post. It was made by my friend and I just post it here
this card says died this game although im not a huge fan of the new mass res in big priest (its just not necessary) this card on the other hand is ridiculous resing any minion that died this game is so much better then turn its a much better card then Kel'Thuzad
p.s. I hope Barnes gets nerfed cause of this DansGame
Kel'Thuzad is good in pretty much any deck that runs (decent) minions and on pretty much any turn.
Catrina Muerte requires you to build the entire deck around her, severely limiting the kind and number of minions you can run. And the turn you play her is important, too.
It only resses 1 minion per turn while kel can res an entire board at once. But they're completely different cards in completely different decks. I don't think you can compare these cards in terms of strength. In terms of viability, I think this card has a better deck to fit in than kel. But we're actually coming at a point where we have so many res priest cards in wild that you can't play them all. You'll have to select which res cards are the most OP.
it not pirate ?
The only minion ressurect priest needs ^^
*Eyeroll*
Honestly, who didn't see something like this coming? Guess priests aren't capable of design elements outside of forced Big Priest rez mechanics I suppose. Nothing like painting class design into a corner.
I guess the one thing I can be glad for is that this card in theory should work like effects similar to Kel'Thuzzad, in that if a powerful cheesed out minion with an end of turn effect can't have it's own end of turn effect activate if it was rezed at the end of that same turn. At least it gives one turn to maybe respond to the play of rezzing something big at the end of the turn.
Come on, we all know we are ALL going to try it in Big Priest. Even though we hate it. And when we pull off some crazy shenanigans, (probably ending in our opponent's rage quit), a part of us is going to secretly love it, while also hating ourselves at the same time for what we have become.
Or...
We're all going to play Kingsbane Rogue and take all the free wins.
Prediction:
Wild is going to be Big Priest and Kingsbane Rogue on day 1.
Guilty pleasure
Heck no the deck is extremely boring to play and doesn't even require any thinking, the only reason anyone would ever play this deck is because they can't win with any other deck.
a) this and Kel'Thuzad are very different cards. Many explained it already, so I won't repeat. If you think they are almost the same, read through this thread
b) If you think this an outright buff/boost to big priest in wild - did you *also* think of which card to remove from the big priest lists to include this? So .... any of the minions? The only minion I would consider cutting for Catrina is LK. And LK has taunt....
Cut a spell? And how do you survive against aggro/midrange decks then? So you don't draw Barnes and on turn 6 you finally get a 5/5 minion, but it's Catrina and your opponent goes for lethal.
Not saying this card doesn't have merit. It definitely fits into big priest. But it's too early to say that it will boost big priest - because for a very long time, aggro's been very strong in wild. If big priest wants to beat aggro in wild, it needs those early game survival tools, not another 8 cost super-minion. If we get a powerful 4-mana AOE *spell* like hellfire for priest - *that's* when you can shout about how big priest is being too strong already.
At this point, Wild players might as well just bend over and let Priests take them. Apparently, Blizzard didn't get the memo that Res Priest needs a nerf and decided to make this expansion the Res Priest extravaganza.
2/10 because it's not a pirate what a missed opportunity Blizzard
