@Unknown27 There's no such thing as direct health damage, you always lose armor before health.
I can already foresee trolden clips of thief rogues cringing on 1 health and getting it for 1 mana from a desperate Sprint...
well secret pala players deserve that anyway
Tree of Life cost 9 and it restored all characters to full.
This is, essentially, a 1 Mana 4/12
For one, this doesn't heal minions.
Second, Tree of Life saw no play because it was too slow.
Or essentially no, probably.
Healing Dragon Paladin. Alexstraza would work in a deck like this. Cost is steep for not threatening board, but we haven't seen everything yet. Control Paladin PLEASE.
I don’t understand some of these comments. I’m not saying it’s a bad card but in what world Is a 10 mana card good against Aggro?!
In a world where Paladin has:
In a world where all of this is true, a Control Paladin has no trouble at all surviving until turn 10 against any kind of aggro deck, and Dropping Nozari on turn 10 basically guarantees your victory.
The only reason we don't see Control Paladin right now is that the deck (like basically all other Control decks) has literally no way to win against all the different Combo and infinite value decks in the game. Once the rotation happens this might change, because a ton of Combo decks are losing essential pieces, most 'Infinite' value cards are going away, and we're getting some really nice new midrange-control tools for Paladin besides.
Will Nozari be viable? Who knows. But it's definitely a good card against aggro opponents in the right type of deck.
All you did was explain how paladin doesn’t need this card...and at the end you basically called this a win more card. For a card to be considered good against Aggro it needs to stifle the aggression I.e. effective early to mid game taunts heals etc. this card does nothing to thwart Aggro decks plan. It’s hoping you make it till turn 10 and 99% of the time ANY control deck makes it to 10 against Aggro it’s already gg
Oh yes, please bring back a kind of Control Paladin - I really enjoyed the time with a viable N'Zoth Paladin and a late game Dragon Paladin could be similarly enjoyable :-)
I don't see much space for this card in constructed. Battlecry effect is not worth 10 mana(max 8, Tree of Life costs 9 mana and no one is playing it). Basically vs agro if u manage to survive untill turn 10 you already won. Control decks in HS basically don't exists, and versus mechathun and other similar decks your HP doesn't matter anyway. I would play this card if it was 8/8 for 8 mana.
Tree of Life isn’t played because druids can armor up for 40+ armor every single game, and they don’t need it. Control decks do exist, at least in wild, and midrange decks exist anywhere. This is a 4/12, which is worth ~8 on its own, that is also Reno Jackson. It’s pretty good, is what I’m saying (again, in wild).
Tree of Life may not have seen play, but it was tempo suicide. This comes with a 4/12 body at the very least.
It's the same principle that makes Healing Touch bad but Antique Healbot really good.
"Control decks don't exist" whaaaat? There are high legend competitive control decks right now, and always have been. The only reason combo decks are so prevalent is because there are lots of control decks for them to prey on.
That's one of the best comparisons for a card situation I think I've ever heard lol, well played
I've seen sexier female dragons.
I LOVE this card. It's very defensive, great against agro decks, can't be abused in a combo deck (at least not in standard) and will be amazing when you get it off Dragon Roar or some other random effect in another class. Can't wait to play this card, hopefully a control Paladin that can make use of Nozari is viable again.
I will just throw it there. Thekal on turn 3, bounce it back in hand if you can on turn 4 ( If means of doing this are all rotating out ignore this) then play the control/healing tools to restore health normally. Run a jepetto perhaps to get this big guy or Alex for 1 mana. To conclude replay Thekal or Alex and top it off with the dragon. That should get you around 75 Health.
Some bounce effects are in classic, so they will never rotate (unless Blizzards decides to HoF them eventually).
