I don't think so. It's more like Lyra the Sunshard because it generates random spells, but also like Krag'wa, the Frog that adds all the spells at the same time with its battlecry.

You only get the cards after you play the minion. 

Gadgetzan draws from your deck which are good cards most of the time.

Drawing random spells is not as good and reliable as drawing cards from your deck

Not at all. Auctioneer is for quick draw, basically a combo deck card. This is for value, which makes it a control deck card. 

I would use both in the same deck tbh along with good old antonidas

In fact you aren't supposed to build a deck around this card, but rather to use it as a value generator in other lists

Do you even know how to build a proper deck?

If you put this in a temp deck and cast only 1 spell, lets say Arcane Missiles you will get a decent minimum battlecry.

You don't need to generate 5 random spells with this card and generating cards with it is easier than Blast Wave
