4 mana 7/7s. :(
Hmmm I'll have to try this one in Wild, it seems like the Dragon Paladin archetype is getting more and more potent support. Unless there are other synergies revealed though this still sucks in standard
A question about Da Undatakah + Bronze Herald + Immortal Prelate + Dragon Speaker
If i play Immortal Prelate then I make him be killed then play Da Undatakah (now he keeps enchantments) to make make him to be killed too after I buff Bronze Herald with Dragon Speaker and make it be killed too;
Will The copy of Da Undatakah in my deck (thanks to Immortal Prelate) keep also +3/+3 buff !?
I will test it.
It will no be buffed as neither card is a Dragon.
That's an interesting idea, however keeping the buff isn't the actual deathrattle, the deathrattle simply will shuffle the copy of the card into your deck and buff any dragons you may have in your hand.
No, it won't. Undatakah is not a Dragon.
instead of being a dragon, the deathrattle adds enchantments. With this statement, you also mean that if there is a card "Give a 1-attack minion +2/+2" and you use it on Immortal Prelate, It doesnt give the buff to Da Undatakah's copy.
I don't mean that the first Da Undatakah guys, I meant the second copy that Da Undatakah puts in your deck.
but yeah, you might be right. I just want to test it in the game with inkeeper or with a friend.
We already have Glowstone Technician. You're aware of that, right?
yes but there is no card which adds 4/4 dragons to your hand.
The interaction you are trying to describe doesn't make any sense. Nothing, at any point in this chain, ever cases da undatakah to get buffed. Buffing the deathrattle cards that da undatakah is copying does not buff him, that wouldn't actually make any sense. And even if it did work, having a +3/+3 undatakah wouldn't be particularly strong.
who cares it is strong or not.
Reminder: Not everyone enjoys to play the game for just climbing. I like to try weird interactions (even if they don't work), try to build different decks etc.
Stop commenting all of the comments which speaks about posibilities "This won't work, This won't be strong" Who cares !! I just want to try it.
and i know that buffing deathrattle minions don't buff Da Undatakah i'm speaking of the copy that Da Undatakah puts in your deck with Immortal Prelate's deathrattle which make Da Undatakah's copy to keep enchantments and I already wrote it above.
Btw. If they didn't try and record, Noone will know that Sacrificial Pact can kill Lord Jaraxxus when he replaced the hero at the first time...
So let people try something, you can continue to your most efforted and beloved climb. noone bothers you, so don't bother me !
Bronze Herald will only make Undatakah add two 4/4 dragons to your hand whenever it dies. It doesn't make Undatakah a dragon. There are no "become a dragon" (or any other tribe) enchants. He will never get buffed by Dragon Speaker.
Also, there already are combos like an immortal Undertaker with taunt or infinite Undatakah/Prelate buffs with Val'anyr. You wanna make a complicated dragon combo to give Undatakah +3/3 once?
I think that everyone is just confused by what you are attempting to do. Da Undatakah will pick up the deathrattles of Immortal Prelate and Bronze Herald. The Immortal Prelate effect means that any enchantments on Da Undatakah will be kept when he is shuffled back into your deck. This refers to the buffs on Da Undatakah specifically (if you mouse over him on the battlefield and see all the little tags underneath him, that is what is kept). Dragon Speaker buffs dragons that are in your hand. It does not buff Da Undatakah because he is not a dragon. It does not buff Da Undatakah's deathrattle because those dragons are not in your hand yet.
The only interaction here is that you can keep killing Da Undatakah to fill your hand with 4/4 dragons and then play Dragon Speaker to buff your hand full of dragons.
I've been hurt before for being too hopeful. Dragon Paladin has never worked.
Will it, this one time? Experience says no. Time will tell.
It’s the year of the Dragon, if not this time, then never.
Exept in wild. In 2028 Dragon Paladin will be Op there.
Difficult to pull off, but hello Star Aligner enabler.
Dragon Speaker is quite exciting and promising. Yet, I'm not so sure if it would be good enough to carry Midrange Dragon Paladin archetype that would allow to play big dragons like Alexstrasza and Onyxia as finishers.
Onyxia + Silver Sword will remain in my dreams tho. At least, for Standard.
I find the concept of turning a Faerie Dragon into basically a DIY Tyrantus amusing.
Yes, I know the joke. It's tired and old. Just using it to point out how bad these cards are.
Bronze Herald on curve is going to be pretty nice for Paladin. Getting early minions out without emptying your hand too quickly has been somewhat hard for midrange paladin (ofcourse i'm not talking about odd). Just imagine playing a Cathedral Gargoyle into this. The 3-2 body can contest the board vs aggro and at the same time put on some pressure against control. And adding two 4-4 dragons to your hand is simply a really really good effect. Being able to curve out for board control the very next turn and maintaining a decent hand-size.
Easily a staple for any midrange or control type Paladin deck. Even if there isn't a lot more dragon synergy that hasn't been revealed yet.
(Also I think AND HOPE that the reveal of 29 March, 4AM is going to be a good Paladin dragon legendary!!)
