I can't tell if this card will be as broken as most people think, but loosing to it will be so depressing. This is a really bad design.
What's bad about it? Losing to every secret is depressing. If secrets had underwhelming effects nobody would play them. You think people enjoy getting hit by Explosive Runes? Is it fun to lose a minion to Wandering Monster? No. I don't know what game you're playing, but Hearthstone wouldn't have been nearly as popular if the cards said "Secret: When your opponent plays a minion, do nothing."
This type of secret works great with Hidden Wisdom in a way that both require specific actions. Your opponent will definitely need to make awkward plays to play around them. Lovely addition to my control secret!
What a terrible, OP card this is. My faith in Blizzard just dropped again.
This bullshit is going to be in every aggro Paladin deck for 2 years.
I am absolutely certain that this card will be either broken, annoying and auto include in every paladin aggro deck ever, or it will be utter trash and a waste of a card slot.
Not sure which one though...
Good secret in 2019?
Except nobody is going to be dropping a flamestrike on a board of 1/1s.
This puts dudes with Level Up out of Flamestrike or Hellfire range, and puts vanilla dudes out of range of Blizzard, Pyromancer, FoK, Swipe, Consecrate, Whirlwind, UTH, etc. Spirit Lash and Defile are moving out with the rotation so it's not quite as strong but it's still a pretty decent card, up to 14 health for 1 mana is good value for a midrange deck
fell like if you add 2+ hp to your 1 or 2 hp minions 90% of board clears are still going to kill them
"When" not "After". Six years of HS and people still don't read card effects.
It says when, not after, so the effect will work.
He actually stated that even if your 1-2hp minions had the +2 health effect when a board clear is played, they would still likely not survive as many board clears can easily wipe out 3-4 health minions. I personally still think it is extremely powerful myself and am in no way doubting it's effect, I am just stating what he/she clearly said seeing as you ironically made a statement about people not reading things correctly.
A lot of people saying this is strong, but Pally has taken a real hit, from a tried-and-trusted cards point of view, with the rotation. This is a pretty sick card, particularly in wild, where the Odd variant can somewhat benefit from it, but we have to see what else the expansion brings to Paladin. There's always one class that looks like it's going to be overpowered, then gets royally screwed over.
holy shit i thought this said give a minion +2 health. but all minions that's pretty damn good
FFFffffffffffaaaaa...
Don't make me regret playing Wild Blizzard. At least, not more than you already do.
Fuck me... So if I wanna swipe his board all his shitty 1/1 dudes gonna survive?
Why the hell do they print such broken cards?...
Just to be sure, if I play Twisting Nether, will the secret proc?
It says "When" not "After" so I'm guessing yes. Your opponent's minions will gain +2 Health and be destroyed
Sure, why wouldn't it?
No Surrender...30 Day Bender
Man why do Paladin Secrets gotta be trash? Rogue's secrets are better than this.
