You'd think the scheme would put the imps into your hand, to be combined with Rafaam himself. It would probably be 2 mana if it went that route.
I would actually of found that cool. Especially if they made the imps cost 0 since then it wouldn't be any worse but would have the potential to work alongside Rafaam.
but now, if you are playing a shaman/warlock, then you can combine this with The Storm Bringer and get a board full of legendaries!!!!
Not only did they use the art shown originally for Omega Defender for Omega Devastator but this time they made it a mech! (People were complaining that it was not a mech despite the artwork.)
First I was like: Holy shit "rafaams scheme" is completly OP. First 1 1/1 Imp, then 2 2/2 imps.... It's like a 3 mana Chef nomi if you have it in your hand for 6 turns.
Then I looked at the comments and was: wtf, why is everyone shittalking this card. It's broken af.
Then I watched the videos and thought "Oh ok, that's the reason why everyone is shittalking this card. Because it's trash. I get it now"

Rafaam's Scheme: summon 10 imps, 3 are useless and the other 7 are also useless
Omega Devastator: Warrior gets Pyroblast
Improve Morale: If I got a lackey each time my dad beat me I would have a bigger E.V.I.L. League than Rafaam(Please don't take this the wrong way, my dad is a very loving and caring person)
Omega Devestator can only deal the damage TO A MINION. Please read carefully.
Fiendish Circle
Wasted opportunity to make an interesting scheme card :/
I was waiting a card like Curse of Rafaam . It is even Rafaam Themed !!! OMG They must be braindamaged or sth. What a missed opportunity.
4 cost - Put a curse card to your enemies hand that deal 1 damage at the end of their turn. (upgrades each turn!)
At the end of the turn this time because of balance issues.
I'm not a balance expert but they could do a card like this and they decided to make 1/1 imps... At least imps could get bigger and amount of imps stays same like;
Summon 3 1/1 imps (upgrades each turn!)
Summon 3 2/2 imps
Summon 3 3/3 imps
.
.
Just weird.
Balancing either of these would be a nightmare.
The Curse route is more interesting than the imps, but supposing it costs 4 to get rid of no one would play it if it does the damage at then end of the turn, since there is no tempo gain there. All that happens is both players spend 4 mana doing nothing. Meanwhile you seem to have already seen the issue with endlessly upgrading damage dealt at the start of the turn.
As for the stats rising too, you very quickly reach a problem here. Compare to Omega Agent, which is already a decent card, and there's no way you could summon 3 minions like this. Even 2 minions will be guaranteed to be frustratingly strong when played on curve if the card is in the opening hand. The only way to salvage stat increases is to only summon 1 minion, at which point it is arguably less interesting than the imps are.
Anyone notice that Omega Devastator has the same artwork as the old art work for Omega Defender from Boomsday? lol
I have read just 20+ comments about this and bored to see.
Daily Reminder that 3 sets will rotate, before alot of people will say 'üseless" ;)
Rafaam's scheme is still useless.
I think a Rafaam Deck contains Tokens of Imps with some certain buff mechanics.
He is probably planning to buff them somehow and make a massive destructive and E.V.I.L. Board.
And we do have minions and spells that summons tokens, and a lot of imps.
And if the plan fails at the end he just make his entire deck and hand into Legendaries.
Makes sense.
