Vote For Your Favourite Community Created Textually Equivalent Cards
It's time once again to vote for a winner in a card design competition.
This week, we asked you to design two cards that had the exact same text.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
- You must design two cards from different classes with the exact same text.
- Requiring Battlecry/Deathrattle/Inspire/etc. on a minion means you cannot put the same text on a spell and have it count. Inner Rage and Cruel Taskmaster do not have the exact same text.
- Hero cards are similarly banned, as the Hero Power keeps the card as a whole from being the same.
This Week's Finalists
Out of 90 entries, we've whittled it down to 12 of the community's favourites. Check them out below and then head on over to the voting thread to vote! Any additional tokens will appear in the voting thread.

I don’t understrand Traveling Cleric, priest hero power can already target all characters.
It means every character at the same time in this situation I think. Like if there are 4 minions on the field, the hero power would heal your hero, opponents hero and every minion for 2 mana O_o Would be a bit OP.
It will affect all characters I think
Are those textually equivalent comments?
I think so
not really.

at least the replies are different
- The argument for who has it easier, Rogue (by chance; the Priest doesn't even have to carry the other card) to get Romeo and Juliet than Priest to get both (Rogue has to carry the other half in their deck/hand). I think I'd be more pissed by not carrying a R&J card and getting killed by the combo than having my opponent copy the needed half actually carried in my deck. Also, 6th turn OTK would really rile people up.
- I like the Soul Consuming Ethereal concept, but it would be better renamed and put in the demon tribe as a random punishment (and further filter the random demon pool).
- In another universe, clips of mill suicide, mill kills and ragequits by Traveling Cleric Priests with Northshire Cleric on the table flood Trolden's videos.
- Point to Screwjank for the Moorabi callback. This is a card I would happily experiment in wild with control shaman.
Romeo and Juliet is seriously one of the most clever creations ever and is thematically perfect too being given to the 2 classes that steal from others. Very well done, sir. Bravo.
Problem about it, is that it's going to feel really bad when it just randomly happens to you as an opponent considering it can happen as early as turn 6 without any cost reductions involved.
So with that in mind that "destroy the enemy hero" effects are so powerful that they need really bad drawbacks to it.
I honestly think we could get something like "If you control Romeo and Juliet, add Poisonous Drink to your hand". Poisonous Drink: "Give one of your sleeping minions Poisonous To Heroes" to balance it out.
I think the conditions for getting this R&J combo off are restrictive enough. There is literally no consistent way of getting it and putting one half of the combo in your deck will hurt you in the long run. There's not way it will ever be anything resembling a viable combo deck. There is absolutely no need to make it any more complicated.
You think that until you realize the chance that you get one is astronomically low, especially since it only works against one other class, in any other matchup they are badly statted vanilla minions.
The other reason is you could actually open these from packs, they'd take up 2 class legendary slots. Which would feel really bad if that happened to you. Opening these is basically opening 400 dust.
Creativity only goes so far when it it basically useless in a real game scenario.
I think, that card, which will give you a free win, if you are lucky to draw it and got another specific card from your random card generators, which require no previous setup and zero skill to play, and which targets only one of fourty five possible match ups is exactly what Heathstone needs.
I agree that it's weak, but I think that just makes it worse. There's no way to build a deck around the effect, so the only way it happens is some stupid RNG thing. It's going to feel so awful when that happens to you.
It's less on how often it will happen, more on how unfair it feels to happen to you. Considering how early it can happen and how little counter play there is to it, the card as is can never be printed.
Also the moment priest or rogue becomes meta, people are just going to put this card in their deck as well as a lot of stealing effects, more often than not causing an unfun and unfair OTK to happen.
