Card Review
KiwiiNbacon has reviewed the new cards.
Rafaam WAS so much more interesting.
Golden Monkey wasn't meme fodder, Elise Starseeker was used in lots of highlander decks as well as warlock and warrior control decks to replace weak cards in the end game.
I have a feeling it may see some play in Reno decks after Bloodreaver Gul'dan is played
nah it's bad. The moment you play rafaam is the moment you dont know what your win condition is. Every turn you dont even know wtf you are drawing...its fun sure rng aspect but its not going to be good
I just wish they'd get rid of all the crummy classic legendaries.
The golden monkey saw play and it had the exact same effect, but you had to jump through a bunch of hoops to get it. Rafaam is just there with no complications
They keep the bad legendaries to kill your chances of pulling good ones, hence making people spend money on packs.
I guess? I mean they could just add average legendaries. It's pretty discouraging to have cards like Milhouse Manastorm still in the pool when the new sets always have an at least decent power level for existing legendaries overall.
I agree 100%
Well... Time to rack up those wins in Arena. A bit too bad it is not retroactive as I would get a couple of portaits of the bat (I got none at the moment).
"What do you call a card capable of doing colossal damage to every minion on the board? EVIL!"
Yogg?
Uhm... Those are uncollectible cards... One's from the Witch Hunt, the other is from a tavern brawl... Looks like the game's collection manager bugged.
Can someone explain to me what Lackeys are? And what are "devious battlecries" supposed to mean?
Lackeys are special 1 mana 1/1 minions with a small Battlecry that are added to your hand by certain effects. It's like a minion version of a Spare Part.
Ethereal Lackey, Faceless Lackey, Goblin Lackey, Kobold Lackey, Witchy Lackey
EDIT: They're not on the database yet I guess. Ethereal Discovers a spell, Faceless summons a 2 drop, Goblin gives a minion +1 Attack and Rush, Kobold deals 2 damage, and Witchy evolves a friendly minion.
Should also note that Possessed Lackey is likely not included in the random lackeys generated. Might need a name nerf to not confuse people.
And "devious battlecries" doesn't mean anything. He just used devious to make them sound super fun and cool, but they are really just battlecries we've seen before on similar minion types. Like the Etheral discovering a spell. If I remember correctly Discover began with LoE cards, which features Etheral characters like Rafaam.
I get the shaman one that basically works as a board buff, if you wanted those legendaries most people would have just put em in their deck
Basically a supercharged Prince Liam...for Zoo decks that ran out of steam?
Yo dawg I herd yo like Hagatha so we make Hagatha minion so yo can play Hagatha minion while yo dawg is Hagatha, dawg!
Does anyone knows if it will two legendaries per class, and if there is random legendary reward at logging when the expansion releases?
That's how the last several sets have been designed, so it would be less likely for them not to do that.
