Card Review
KiwiiNbacon has reviewed the new cards.
I hope so: I'm really interested to see which other mechanics they will bring back and how the other villains will be printed.
Kael'thas reveal gonna be fun.
Previous years we had one random card pack per day but this time it appears we’ll only get 3 at the same time and nothing more, correct? That and the fact we don’t have a “Year of the Raven” card back like previous years seems kinda odd to me.
Yes, this years rotation is very disappointing. I don't know why they changed this because it is a huge difference to go from 21 packs to 3...
Oh just checked the event, it wasn't officially announced until later, so technically we still have time. It was datamined with 10.4 (the equivalent of the patch we received yesterday)
Yeah, this is kinda sad because everyone is looking forward to the end of the year in order to receive some serious goods, but this time it won't be the case. Moreover, we also got ignored with HS 5th anniversary.
Is it because T5 has something up for us or is it sheer greed? Who knows
I really don't like the idea behind Rafaam, another card which just provides randomness at its finest.
Great for a meme deck or just to challenge the RNG gods but I personally don't like this kind of stuff. Hope this will not find its way into the meta.
Let me paint a picture, if you please.
You're playing Zoo. Your opponent just stabilized and is threatening to drop increasingly unbeatable minions to chew through your 1-4 cost cards. Would you rather concede, or drop a sturdy minion that will, above average, turn your measly minions into better ones, and is big enough to give you some more time to draw into those minions?
I'd have no problem running a single 7 cost card to give my deck potential against control decks with high survivability. And that's before considering trading all your removal for minions when you're playing a control Warlock against a deck with very few minions, or just ones that aren't vulnerable to your removal.
New Combo incoming: Preparation+Myra's Unstable Element+Chef Nomi xD
Twisting Nether
Yeah except Nomi can possibly be played before you have mana for nether, possibly even earlier with coin...
Add also Preparation Academic Espionage. :P
But way later than you have mana for Mass Hysteria or Brawl
dont forget about the lackeys that were shown
again, prices in dollars never include taxes, because each state has different tax so the final price will be different for people living in different parts of the US, in europe no matter where you live you will always pay the same amount in Euros
Yeah I always thought of rafaam as a mage with his fingers in a lot of pies, definitely warlock and rogue, so a triple class if you will ;)
Mage/rogue/warlock :)
Dont forget he got unstable portal as a hero power in the adventure first time around, very mage. (random minions)
There already is Curse of Rafaam from LoE hinting Rafaam being warlock.
So, it is now 3 weeks before the pre-release, and the reveal season historically takes about 2 weeks... I don't get how the initial reveal stream was not announced among all the above...
Blizzard is really walking a fine line, even more than before. Next step is just suddenly adding cards for people to figure out at a random day.
P.S. I still think Rafaam =/= Warlock, but I get that Rogue was taken by Togwaggle. I like the fact he's actually playable in a Zoo deck (and probably no other deck as they rely more on synergy and removal and not just raw creature power)
I think it would be more logical if Togwaggle represented driud.
He is stealing gold, not transforming into beast.
I mean Togwaggle is played only in druid. Nobody else plays this card.
