BY THE POWER OF RAGNAROS IS THIS WEEK'S TAVERN BRAWL
FIGHT FOR THE AMUSEMENT OF THE EMPEROR! All cards in your hand have their costs reduced by one at the end of your turn.
Trivia
- This is the second time we've seen this brawl.
- This brawl requires that you build your own deck.
- The global effect active during the brawl is the same as the one on Emperor Thaurissan
How it Works
There's not much different in this gamemode outside of a normal game of Hearthstone. The only change is that everyone has their card costs reduced by one at the end of your turn, an effect that mimics Emperor Thaurissan.

JUst threw everything ramp and all the big minions into a druid deck.
It worked and now I have a golden Black Knight
this game is weird
Treachery Warlock for the win.
Won with Rin's seals instead of the Howlfiend combo, although, I think C'Thun mage wasn't expecting someone else also putting up a wall and tearing their deck apart.
No mage, you can't revive C'thun if he's been discarded by a hungry Azari, the Devourer.
Had some fun with Jade Druid. Brann is nice here and UI is busted.
i just played traditional cubelock with Mal'Ganis and laughed so hard when i had 5 on board against a divine spirit priest LMAO
combo was Mal'Ganis + cube + Taldaram + pact. after all were dead, i played Guldan XD
Ez druid OTK, draw your deck asap and ultimate your enemie!
Time to bust out my old Dead Man's Hand C'Thun Warrior, see if it holds up.

*e* Kinda does! I swapped the two Whirlwind for Warpath, which was a very solid decision.
I like cheap cards.
I can't think of a great way to break this format. Seems like you just bring a normal deck, and games will go a little faster due to cost reduction on both sides. Is there some broken combo that you could pull off by making everything cheaper?
I guess I'll jam in Lich King and Ysera style card generation cards... Hmmm... Maybe the Priest Legendary guy that gives you free spells when you play spells, or Hagatha? If someone has a really clever idea for how to abuse cost reduction, I'd like to hear it.
I think bringing a ladder deck is inadvisable - why not fill the deck with expensive stuff? I played a super-greedy C'Thun/N'Zoth Druid deck, going 3-0 against a pair of ladder decks (Quest Warrior & Odd Mage - the third deck was C'Thun Rogue). Brann Bronzebeard gets discounted to 0 very quickly, allowing you to play lots of C'Thun battlecries, and C'Thun all on the same turn, doubling all their effects. Presumably, there are lots of other decks . . .
C'Thun is certainly fun. I run a Dead Man's Hand warrior, with the Wild Pyromancer/Commanding Shout combo to clear the board, and I'll draw and cycle like mad to throw several big C'Thuns.
Jade Druid with a ton of draw options can do really upsetting things with this format.
Freeze mage gg ez! 2-0
*each turn :P
what? there's no especial 5 year-celebration brawl? wtf blizzard? give us at least free pack or something......
Oh look, it's a beggar
Oh look, it's the exact same broken aggro decks... but faster.
mech hunter is pretty busted
Enjoying a shaman shudder/c’thun Deck. Not optimal but fun.
