Miniature Warfare Returns As This Week's Brawl - But We're In The Brawliseum!
A new challenge for the tiny gladiators of the Brawliseum! Build a standard deck, all your minions are 1/1 and cost (1) mana!
Trivia
- Miniature Warfare is not a brand new brawl, but this is the first time we've seen a Brawliseum use another brawl's theme.
- This brawl is much like past Heroic Brawls but instead uses the Arena reward structure.
- One free entry to the brawl is given to all players.
- We last saw a Brawliseum on December 5, 2018.
How it Works
This Tavern Brawl is a cross between what we're used to seeing for Heroic Brawls and bits of Arena.
- You will pay an entry fee equal to an Arena run to take part in this Tavern Brawl.
- Using cards in your own collection, you build a deck for the standard format.
- The rules of Miniature Warfare apply - All minions in your deck become 1/1 that cost 1 mana.
- Like Arena or a Heroic Brawl, once you lose 3 games in the Standard Brawliseum you are out.
- Rewards will be given to players based on their performance with their deck, equal to the Arena reward structure.
- Your first run of this brawl will be free! There's nothing to lose!
Share Your Brawliseum Decks
Using our deckbuilder, you can share your decks and strategy for this week's brawl. Use the deckbuilder normally but when saving your deck, make sure you change the Deck Type to "Tavern Brawl" and the brawl to "Brawliseum - Miniature Warfare". Following these instructions will help other players find your deck. Don't forget to include screenshots to show proof of your wins and losses!
Best brawl ever for farm. Thnx blizzard for this played 127 games so far and will play till end
I had fun with this brawl, its been awhile since that happened. I think they should do more mashups for brawls. Not just this one but others, smash them together. At least its not the same old, same old regular brawl. That's what people have been saying that hs is boring, so this is a start toward that goal to get something new. Its not going to fix everything all at once and not everyone will like it but at least its movement in the right direction.
So basically:
1. If you are new / free-to-play player, you will get 1 pack and get locked out from this week's brawl.
2. If you don't play Priest or Rogue, you will have, statistically, 4% chance to win.
3. Every single game is decided by turn 4 (usually earlier), no decision making involved, what so ever.
But if you have a ton of Epics and Legendaries, you can farm the new players until you have a couple thousand gold, for free!
Yay!
Yup, this tavern brawl is made to make the game even more pay to win. If you've spent a lot of money on the currently active expansions, then you'll get free gold. If you try to be a free to play gamer, you'll get stomped.
Would be so nice if just everyone could use every card in this, please blizzard, don't let tavern brawls be pay to win.
best tavern brawl of all time already played like 100 games
Brawliseum...why did it have to be Brawliseum. I've been saying this since the inception of heroic tavern brawls. Most people do not want a single play competitive mode for brawl. We have ladder and arena system for that.
Brawl is the time you can actually have fun with the game, not this BS. I want it to be like the last 3 brawls we had which it introduces a new mode to us that has its own meta and playstyle where the casuals can actually have some fun. Not this "pay to play" nonsense.
Sure it's miniature, but it's a Arena style mode that pisses me off. I'd rather have the one pack and then experiment with fun combos like "can I use this silly card to kill my opponent" rather than the min-max with the "best deck" that this mode forces you to do. Most people do not have thousands of gold to waste having fun on a Brawliseum. In Brawliseum there is no fun to be found here, just "pro decks" and the endless amount of facing one type of deck over and over again.
Blizzard for the love of god can you at least listen for once. No one likes Brawliseum no matter what coat of paint it has on it!
Brawliseum = More rewards than a regular brawl.
Hence, I like Brawliseum.
Your point has just been proven false.
My point was a point of "fun". Not "rewards". Also most casual players will not be able to get 7+ wins consistently in this mode so it's a huge loss otherwise.
Brawl is a gold cruncher and also a non-noob friendly brawl because it requires an extensive collection of cards to even win.
So no my "point" was not proven false by your half a***'d comment. (doubt you even read what I said)
To quote the end of your comment, just so you'd have less (I wouldn't presume to rid you entirely) doubt that I actually read it to the end: "No one likes Brawliseum no matter what coat of paint it has on it!"
That is exactly what I replied to. In math the easiest way to disprove a claim is find a case where your "rule" does not apply. My "half whatever" comment was just a suggestion to not use all-inclusive statements that assume you know more than you do, because people use it far too often.
Lo and behold, I even did it without adversarial, curse words, even. It can be done.
When I said "No one likes Brawliseum" means that the majority doesn't like brawliseum, and using it in that statement just doesn't have the same "ring" to it. You are just selecting parts of my comment that works for you, also you took the part "No one likes brawliseum" way too literal.
If you read the majority of comments on here, you will find out that not many people like this brawl because of the "arena" part of it. proof of that can be found here as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/hearthstone/comments/ayukrr/opinion_new_tavern_brawl_was_fun_for_an_hour/ 88% upvoted.
Also not using swear words doesn't mean you are an "upstanding person", just means you are not willing to use them...that's it. Just I didn't really think there was another word to describe how ignorant you are of the people around you, who are also playing the same game as you. The way your last comment was going sounded like you are an egotist. With the way you replied to me proofs even more so. You are so wrapped around your little world you forget others exist in it.
Also this doesn't sound like "just a suggestion". It sounds a lot like an insult.
If you like taking things as insults, who am I to stop you? Not using curse words just means I prefer to have a debate, curse words don't help your point, and using them just weakens any argument you may have had.
Same with boldening every other word, by the way, as if they had no weight by themselves. It's also a known, frequent thing that less intelligent people think the ones that are intelligent are egotists.
I haven't actually counted the people commenting here but I sure saw a whole lot who loved this brawl, and from there to "nobody" is a huge, hyperbolic leap I don't like and see too much of, and that's exactly what I said. That's beside the point, though, because the people posting here are a fraction of the player base, and if comments on this sites (especially on brawls, that I read a lot of) were any indication, Blizzard and Activision wouldn't have any people playing brawls ever. You may call me ignorant (by some definition of the word you have), but the part of threads here I don't choose to comment or at the very least read other people's comments are slim at best, so I'm pretty aware of feelings of people posting here in general.
The bottom line is if you don't like this brawl, getting in and conceding 3 times to get your pack is much easier than some other brawls, and you get an RR pack even, instead of the classic one. 7+ wins just means you get your money back in addition to the pack, but when you got the run for free there's no money to get back because, well, you paid none. for any F2P player like me, that's a plus on all fronts. It's obviously not for you, and that's fine, but like I said, I don't challenge your opinion, just your false statement.
Tried a token druid build. Didn't really work when I played against someone who just drew nuts (Frostwolf warlord turn 3 and 4 iirc), a Hunter who topdecked Unleash and an OTK Priest who puked out 4 or 5 1/1 Velens from nothing then mindblasted me for 160.
Hilarious. Good pack at least.
Can we please just get access to all cards during these tavern brawls? Sucks to be a casual player and come back a week when you can't even enjoy the brawl because I need another 8k dust to create any competitive deck.
Dug into the demented side of my brain to whip up a dirty Rogue deck, queued for combat and faced essentially 11 mirror matches in a row...
Now I'm conflicted...I'm happy, I'm sad, I'm sickened by the other players, and I'm sickened by myself...
I'm gonna go take a shower. You all should too, you know who you are.
Bathe in your gold, it'll take the edge off.
In this brawl Malygos is the tits. I believe Blizzard wants everyone (that doesn't play him in their brawl decks) to hate him and be glad when they HoF him.
Surem that's why it'll take at least a full year to do that.
Lol turn 1 19/19 shark. Well played.
Went for the Shark route as well (the run ended 3-3) and got totally destroyed by a Priest (who ran TONS of AoE + disruption effects up to the point that I was left in topdeck mode and cba anymore, so I gifted him the win) and two other Rogues who simply had better draw off the start. Good thing is, I felt dirty even while winning (no ban for Bonemare is a joke, are you serious Blizz?) so I won't lose much this week.
Got a 13 year old boy to curse me with more typos than letters after I OTKed him with a duplicated Velen, I crown this brawl a success!
