The Fortune Teller
Blizzard has uploaded a teaser video for the next expansion. We're certain this is about the new expansion due to the card back the troll uses in the video. The card back matches the card pack showcased in the Year of the Dragon preview. Could we be spending the year looking into the future or perhaps our past?
Anyone besides me remember The Hobbit? Anyhow, getting back to what she said. Does anyone know a character that got robbed or who owned gold (or other shiny stuff) that has lost its shine/is less gleamy? That character will be restored to its former glory. I don't know, I am actually grasping at straws here.
Odds are high it's King Togwaggle given the candles on the card.
Not to mention the busted crown by the foot of the scales.
It's really probable that the next key mechanic will be scry like mtg. You can see the top cards of your library and then do something.
old gods ride the hype train, boyz
Not particular sure if this is of any importance, but it is worth mentioning that this April will be Hearthstone's 5th year anniversary. A perfect time to look at the past no? After all, with five cards...
The official releasedate is march 11 2014 isnt it?
Edit: Don't know why people are downvoting me... March 11th is the official release date, not april.
As much as I'd despise my own guess coming true. I'm going to go way out of the norm and say that Kobolds isn't actually rotating. Instead, they're going to keep it around to fuck with us.
"By this candle a glowin' I surely be knowin', whose gold a once more be gleamin'".
Gross. Don't even.
I think we can expect a new type of card, look how the cards that she reveals have a different design. Maybe a new mechanic is coming? I hope so.
adventure?
The fortune part could say something about the set, but it could also simply mean "this will happen in the new year".
The skull on her shoulder, is that a raven? And if so, is the snake a reference to dragons?
The triangles are everywhere: most obvious on the card back, but also on the card front, on the window decoration, the decorative border of the table cloth and all candles in the room are in groups of three.
There are 5 cards, possibly one for each chapter. There are 4 visible chairs, but assuming that the fortune teller is also sitting on a chair, that would make 5 chairs. She did describe the first card has her own crystal ball, so she might be the lead character of chapter 1.
The style of the card back is quite different from what we saw on the packs: there are screws on this one, like a machine running on magical energy, while the packs had a more leathery look, like a spell book.
If her outfit means anything, Blizzard have been pulling a hell of a long con - she's wearing exactly the same outfit as she was in the Whispers of the Olds Gods trailer. I went back and checked - damn, that was a good song.
Interestingly, she's no longer in the tavern - the room is completely different. So all those potential clues relating to the chairs and hidden secrets in the room design are still entirely possible.
Some says Toggwaggle will be in this incoming expansion due to that second card clue, which is why I guess:
If you listen to 00:13 -00:27, I wonder if the this expansion will release some old bosses that will return as legendary cards for example Nefarian or Rafaam or any bosses from the older expansions that has been plotting and scheming during the expansions/adventures,
and they might be included on Zayle, Shadow Cloak
and we know Fortune Teller will be in it too if you haven't listened carefully on the first card clue.
I could be wrong but that is what I would think might happen.
I think you’re right. Toggwaggle could be one of the prisoners!
Along with other old Hearthstone characters!
This will totally be the Villains of the Violet Hold. We could be breaking the prisoners out of the Hold by using the Underbelly. Fighting through ganglords and Kirin Tor alike. 💯 % confidence! I also think that Scry will be a new keyword similar to MTG (Magic the Gathering).
Please stop eating Skittles when posting. Thanks.
You know what? We've suffered through long enough time of Hero Card Hostage Heartstone™ that I'm perfectly fine with classes not having hero cards for a while.
We're sending Baku and Genn packing with DKs. We don't need another year of "I play this card and win" shenanigans. If they add new hero cards, they better be like the OG hero cards Lord Jaraxxus and Majordomo Executus where they have a sufficient downside. Here are a few of my suggestions:
you really really hate priest that his Hero card is a downgrade of his original one
Fortunes? new playable card type possibly?
I think we're getting an expansion on the Darkmoon fair. This would fit well to the picture that was presented last week and would also have a reference to today's video.
