HCT Winter Championship Stream
You can watch all the action on the main stream at Twitch.tv/PlayHearthstone .
Roger was Part of the Chinese Taipei team that cheated in the HGG and got disqualified. It seems Blizzard doesn't believe in repercussions for cheaters and thus we're going to get one in the World Championship, and a winter champion or at least a finalist unless bloodyface beats him.
He lost...
There where repercussions, they got disqualified, like you stated yourself. Also, Roger got the information passed on by the cheating team member and didn't know about at at first, as seen in the video evidence that even brought up that they where cheating. Give the name calling a rest and don't blame Roger for things his teammate did, even though he profited from it.
1) If your teammate cheats and you don't report him, you're an accomplice, even if you don't profit from it (though Roger and his entire team obviously did profit)
2) One cheater in a team should implicate the entire team for a long while, because cheating is a state of mind and if you let someone with that state play, something is deeply wrong.
3) Should we not indicate that cheating is wrong in a very straightforward, all but excessive action? Is it not against the spirit of any game? Banning from competing in Blizzard licensed world championships for a year is very least I would consider as an appropriate repercussion.
I would (maybe) have stopped calling him a cheater if he would suffer from it in any way other than the obvious single disqualification in an event far less people care about or bother to watch. Watching him competing and winning prizes is a stain on this championship and Blizzard in general.
I realized. Posted a new comment with exactly what I think about Roger winning.
I agree.
Even if blizzard have their non-sport-related reasons and they want to piss on the community they could at least give him a small Ban, even for 3 or 6 months. Just to say that they did something.
Not even that.. disappointing.
@Hentai
Let's not forget that he was also implicated in win trading in the past as well. An offense that has gotten player accounts banned in the past, yet they not only didn't ban him but also allowed him to continue competing.
Yeeah Bunny Packs
Any updates about Bunnyhoopor?
How many packs are secured, when is the next game?
2 packs so far, he won the quarterfinals :D
It's 3 packs actually.
This is how it works:
You get one pack just for choosing someone. If your choice moves out of the group stage, second pack is yours. If he wins his next match (as Bunnyhoppor did), then you get three packs. And if your champion gets to finals, it's time to open a bottle of champagne, 'cause you're rich, son!
Great! Amazing job Bunnyhoopor!
When is the semi-final? maybe I'll be able to catch him live again.
dear Viper, thank you for another pack! I DO see your decks lineup are well constructed for this tournament meta!
Seems like not enough, both his match wins were against extremely unfavored noblord... Was really hoping for a better result.
After going with the favourite guy, the known guy, the last time winner guy, the european guy and always winning one pack, i went this time with the canadian guy, thanks for the usual one pack.
Blame Canada.
Well, usually, 2>1 at the very least.
It obviously depends on the lineups (which will all be insanely different by then because of rotation and no even/odd decks), but it doesn't seem like I'd pick him again in Worlds, a lot of players I really like are there...
So I debated between Viper and Bunnyhoppor because of their aggressive lineups, decided to go for Viper because it's really hard to match your record 2 tournaments in a row and Bunny was the summer champion.
Guess that showed me... And I was really hoping for the 2nd every championship when I get >1 packs...
Let's go Viper!
Superb game by Bunnyhoppor against Roger's Quest Rogue
