HCT Europe Winter Playoffs 2018 Stream
You can watch all the action on the main stream at Twitch.tv/PlayHearthstone.
Where can you check the result? I only see the last 4 guy.
Germans be like: Diesmal kommen wir im Sommer!
Hearthstone is a game between 2 players with 30 cards each and in the end the Germans win.
you really cant do those news like 2 days before? literally if you dont check night before event like that your not going to know... guys cmon, seriously do PREVIEWs at least 2 days before the even not hours... how i am suppose to plan watching? i usually miss day. 1 because of that
you want to be reliable source of information.... then be...
We posted decks for the event a day before it started. I'm not really interested in doing preview content for events because then you end up with 4 posts per event and not that many people like HS esports. Doing a dedicated deck post (that tells you to expect an event soon), the survival guide, and the results post is enough.
Sometimes our deck posts are even earlier though and can definitely help increase awareness, we just had too many decks to get through with too many things keeping some of us busy. Poor Frosty added the majority of the decks in the site in all the spare time he had.
If we post the survival guide too early it gets bumped down and literally 10 people use it. I've seen it happen, I know from experience. I think it's a fair enough assumption that people are checking the site daily and should catch wind of a tournament before it actually takes place.
Ultimately though you're right, our system for Esports sucks and its an unfortunate balancing act. Hell I get enough hell for the fan creations posts being two a week (and sometimes 3 during huge comps) because "that's not what I want to see".
Better check out the brackets on Battlefy, the Blizzard page doesn't show me anything.

I count on Thijs :)
It's t-t-t-tea time with Thijs! Good luck to all the competitors, but especially my favourite Euro streamer!
FWIW: China Playoffs have already taken place but because we don't usually cover the events over there and they're kinda on their own Hearthstone infrastructure / rules for events, the EU playoffs are considered "our" kickoff for the Winter Playoffs.
China Event Results BTW. Oh and decks can be found here (thanks Frosty) until they go up on the homepage this weekend.
Lionking came in first.
Yueying came in second.
Caimiao and Lingluanjing tied for third/fourth.
