HearthPwn Card Design Competition Season 8 Finale
We've made it through another 20 21 weeks of Weekly Card Design Competitions, and you know what that means. Or maybe you don't; you could be new to the scene and have no idea what I'm talking about, wondering when I'm going to stop prattling on and get to the point. Well you passive-aggressive, theoretical reader, maybe...I...will. Every winner from this Season has come together in this Final Final Poll, and it's up to you to tell us your favorite(s). Twenty-one will enter, but only one can win...unless they tie.
Who will be the Champion...of...(dramatic pause)...Season...(wait for it)...8...?
Season 9
Season 9 will start in January, and the next Big Comp will occur around then as well. After the crazy-huge adventure that was making an entire Hearthstone Year, odds are very good we will scale back toward something more simple (like another class comp). We don't have it nailed down just yet, so you'll just have to remain in suspense until then.

Posted Dec 2, 2018 (Boomsday)"Were there any Wildcards that ever won?" No...at least, not this Season. It might occur more often if we had more Wild Cards, but most theme-makers don't want to/don't think of it/don't remember to tell us.
As for Pharune's remark about getting in Submissions early...that doesn't necessarily equate. These are merely where the winners fell, not where all the finalists were located. That information would better tell you when to submit, if it mattered.

Posted Dec 3, 2018 (Boomsday)Even if this is shooting my foot a little bit, I actually think it's easier to make it to the finals if you post late.
Generally speaking, people with good ideas tend to submit them earlier, so if you submit on Monday, you'll probably be competing with cards with lower quality, in general.
The only exception to this is CheeseEtc, who is one of the best designers (if not the best) and usually submits late.

Some cards, unfortunately, might also suffer from lacking context: we do not list where they came from - although you may click on each of them to find out - so at a glance, it might not be clear why they exist like that.
