Those both require minion presence to do anything valuable.
I'll admit it's a very lofty claim, but something about the card text makes me think something's there.
Also, don't forget it does not work for spells and the stats are not good enough for an aggro 5-drop (see Bittertide Hydra.)
You're making a lot of good points. I dunno. If it functions like Misdirection, I think it has a chance to be too annoying to deal with.Apparently this isn't the case. So it's actually pretty boring.
I got an idea for new archetype... Decoy Token Druid! You go face with buffed Mosh'Ogg Announcer while generating tokens to take the hits from opponent trying to take him out. :)
AoE cards exist
It's 2018, and we can't be categorizing cards as "minions" anymore. Just because the card looks like and behaves like a minion, doesn't mean that inside it feels like a minion. We must let it decide for itself as it grows up whether it is a minion, or a spell, or a hero card. It is not for us to determine what the card will be, but foster an environment where it can make that determination for itself.
Oh so now you’re saying it can’t grow up to be a weapon? That’s like, literally racist buddy.
Weapons have an extra chromosome. This minion might think it's a weapon, but me and my friends know that it's scientifically impossible. It's not racist; just scientific fact! :)
Wild Odd Rogue can't add any more five drops. The current ones are more powerful than this (Leeroy, Loatheb (in wild), Funglemancer), and you can't add too many 5 drops.
I never really think about wild. In Standard, Cobalt Scalebane and Captain Greenskin would be the 5-drops that could be flexed out, perhaps. I dunno. Might not be as good, but it'd be interesting to test it out.
Meanwhile, this might be something folks need to revisit after the first expansion of next year, after the rotation. With Fungalmancer and Cobalt gone, odd decks will need new 5-drops. This could wind up being interesting, or it could wind up being essentially a Stranglethorn Tiger, which almost surely won't be good enough post-rotation. I think the mechanics on this are strange enough to warrant testing. But testing is really expensive at 800 dust.
Could Mosh'Ogg Announcer be good in something like Odd Rogue or Odd Paladin? An opponent trying to clear one of these with minion trades might get RNG'd and it could stay up. Odd Rogue/Paladin don't really care too much about taking face damage, and often have tokens which are of lower value.
Maybe a vanilla 6/5 for 5 is just too low value. It also almost surely isn't worth crafting for Epic dust costs.
But there's something cool about it. It seems like a decent "tall" minion to throw into a "wide" deck, since it might not be something an opponent can deal with.
The announcer is a pretty great arena card, as there's less spell removal and the stats are good, constructed is probably not, perhaps some decks will take it for a minion that might stay a turn for a combo or a weird odd deck card but I feel like it won't
Mark of the loa buff choice is just bad, compared to Mark of the wild you pay 2 extra mana for 2 extra health which is just bad
But mark of the loa's minion choice is pretty good in my opinion it's like a seronite chain gang but without the taunt but with more aggressive stats, I think token druid will use it and it might be good if a greedy druid with alot of huge beasts come (though it is bad with witching hour so idk) as it is a spell
Mosh'Ogg Announcer + Spikeridged Steed = full board clear kappa
Also get dat face damage you always wanted Uther!
actually there is 50 percent of chance that enemy will silence this before u spikeridged on it :)
Is this a good card in token druid? I think maybe it is. Whisp + this card on turn 8 with cards in your hand is like a full board spreading plague + branching paths for attack, except your opponent might not even have a full board. Seems amazing if you made a violet teacher stick. Using it on it's own is like a branching for attack but it makes your minions super beefy. I think it's pretty good.
It's certainly a way for token druid to live on after spreading plague/branching is rotated.
I can't tell if you realize it buffs only one minion or not
Ye, I'm just dumb :D
How will Mark of the Loa work with Fandral Staghelm?
You will give a minion +2/+2 and summon two 3/2 raptors I believe.
You'll give a minion +2/+4 taunt and then summon two 3/2 raptors
