Love this card
definitely handy since Vilespine Slayer is moving out of standard soon!
this card is pretty awful. A worse version of Assassination. (you can kill damaged targets!). Possibly sort of mana good for annoying divine shield units, but would be an awkward card in a lot of Rogue decks.
decent card, not a meta defining for sure
Ofc. this card is clearly inspired by MTG.
This might fit into Even Rogue, but for most Rogue decks I expect it’s too weak to see play today, as you’d typically prefer Vilespine Slayer. Maybe it could see play after rotation.
This card Is ok at best. It’s assassinate but for one less mana and plus one condition
Jeez GOD! what a absolute lack of creativity!
What makes you say that ? If it's because of the effect then yes they are pretty much "similar" but the "Walk the Plank" phrase is not trademarked :p
Its not news that hearthstone devs inspires themselves on MTG expansions.
Did you know that "walk the plank" is used as a reference in almost any pirate story? So, why not use it? It has nothing to do with MTG, but with pirates! And what is rogue cards reference for this expansion? PIRATES!
And why is this bad ? I mean i don't expect parthenogenesis when it comes to designing Hearthstone cards and getting ideas from other cards games may help make the game better.
Creativity is based on imitation. People have made great things thanks to observation. Paintings are basically copying the world around us. And so is this card. When Blizzard is printing around 400 cards a year, sometimes it's hard to come up with something new.
Rogue hard removal and interactions with undamaged minions has been a thing since beta. See Backstab, Shadow Strike.
And MTG devs now are inspired by hearthstone
Mecha'thun?
Requires Prep and and double Galvanizer for the combo.
You only need one Galvanizer (Prep-Plank is 1 Mana). Myra's Unstable Element can also speed things up if you get your combo early.
good next year or if even Rogue becomes a thing
replacement for vilespine after rotation.
