The card's name is different (not in english would be my guess)
Edit: Its fixed
Wing Blast for mage wtf is this that dark time line
More like Elemoontal Mage.
Tauren: "Ehhhhh, I'm gonna scorch!"
You know, my only problem with it is why are they just now giving mage such strong elemental support when all the elementals worth playing are about to rotate out. I doubt they are going to reload with a bunch of good ones next expansion, so some of these elemental synergies will become worthless.
That's a healthy natural rotation... really strong, then really weak... every expansion after that will add a bit more until it all starts over.
That's exactly why. If elemental mage becomes too good it won't terrorize the meta for long before getting nerfed by the rotation. It's just like how the gave priest Drakonid Operative one set before all the good dragon support cards rotated out.
They just would have nerfed it like they mostly for everything else
Its not really healthy to give new cards that will become utterly pointless in like, 4 months time.
Except for 2017 and mean streets where every set was full of OP busted cards that pushed the game to the brink before someone realized you cannot sustain the game with that kind of absurd power creep. thankfully we have more realistic sets and once all the 2017 stuff rotates out the game will be very different.
Almost nothing gets nerfed in Hearthstone, particularly when it's an archetype or synergy, rather than a particularly strong card. They did it with Raza the Chained because it's a single card easy to nerf. They've never really nerfed Odd Rogue or Odd Paladin, for example.
I'm with Kureggu: it's best to have the 3rd set be the one where the best stuff from the two standard cycles overlaps.
Plus, most of the stuff probably won't be useless. Dragon Priest held on for as long as Drakonid Operative was in Standard, even if there was only one rotation with both that and the Blackrock Mountain dragon cards.
We have survived tauren paladin in wow, but tauren mage in HS is nail in coffin...
Based on the armor, and the blast across the chest, i think that's a tauren getting hit by scorch, not casting it.
Wing Blast for elemental mage, with a condition on a previous turn... Because elementals...
I hate the taurens face almost as much as the whole art of the new gnome.
We have seen a similar effect with a hunter spell before, and I would say that works pretty well.
Tho if you are about to play a Mage dexk based on spells, doesnt really worth it due to big range of aoe removals and Poly. And if you play an elemental mage, usually, it’s minion based deck with book of spectral and with the new -I-Hope-to-work-good-in-that-deck- Arcanosaur
Decent synergy with Flame Geyser, Fire Fly. Steam Surger until the rotation.
Now I hope there's enough elementals coming after the rotation, as Un'goro will remove a lot of them.
(still 22 RR neutral minions to reveal at this time of writing)
Arcanosaur is the only new mage elemental so far.
Only final reveal stream left.
Goodbye card reveal countdown timers - see you in 4 months !! :)
i'll miss you :(
Very strong temp[o card . If you think this isn't good just think about it this way : Ignore the "if you played" tag since elemental mage does that every turn because it's literally a core requirement of the deck and read it as let's say Turn 5 play a 3/6 water elemental with battlecry deal 4 damage to an enemy minion...would you play that?
