Now that is some serious Loa/Spirit synergy. Hyped for Rush Warrior!
Blizzard desperately trying to make rush work for warrior, not saying it's a bad thing...
This looks like the glue that rush has needed in order to be competitive. Keen to see how this goes.
Peter Whalen confirmed it works with minions with rush.
Have you ever used defender of Argus to give two minions taunt then use that 6 mana Druid card that “gives taunt minions +2/+2” it buffs the minions that gained taunt from defender. The same is true for boomship and this. The minions are rush minions for that turn then they cease being rush minions once the turn is over. Just like the minions you taunted up with defender of Argus cease being taunt minions when they die so are not resummoned by hadronox.
It's interesting to compare this to Commanding Shout. CS replaces itself in hand, so it doesn't put you down in resources. This is cheaper, only works with Rush, and is full immunity, rather than letting the minion go down to 1 HP. That's probably a pretty big difference. It's a lot easier to clear a 1-hp minion than a full health one.
There's also a lot of nice synergy with Overkill and similar cards (Darius Crowley, for example). Darius normally won't live after a trade into a 4/4 like a Fal'dorei Strider or one of the subsequent spooders. With this, he'd go up to 6/6.
But it's hard not to think that, just like Commanding Shout is seldom played, and like Bestial Wrath is seldom played, this is also a little lackluster. The fact that this is a persistent spirit might be enough of a difference. I'm skeptical. Might work, but I won't be surprised if it doesn't.
I think it's kind of the same effect as Quest had, people were blindfolded about the insane value of the quest and forgot about the insane drawback of having one less card.
Although this card has a body i think it is so worthless so you can't consider it at all.
On the other hand you could almost tempo play it, like play it on turn 1, play a rush minion to protect it on turn 2 and so on, creating an inmense value, however I don't believe rush minions to be good enough for that nor that consistent.
Concluding, I really agree with what you say.
wait so how many summon cards are there? only the boomship right? so whenever you play a card it doesnt work. so this card basically sux...
that is not how it works... when you play minions it works aswell
Yeah, you are right there..based my thought process on a wrong information about the town crier-Dr. Boom- interaction (or rather the way Dr. Boom works) , I’m gonna edit the post!
Sry about that, but you should still chill a bit with your reactions dude!
Moreso if you know that insulting people isn’t the way..
Exactly as you said: outside the board they are not counted as Deathrattle-minions, so they are not summoned. And since as before from others said it does not say: Your minions with Rush, instead it says Your Rush minions, we can't be sure.
Blizzard is so inconsistent with their wording that it's frustrating. See the Rogue-Legendary: it's recruit pirates, not put them from your deck on the field, but they went with the old wording for whatever reason.
And even when they are rush-minions when you put them on the field, when you summoned them, they weren't, and normally this type of effect work when you play out a minion. Especially Boomship or Rocket Boots.
And don't forget Dr. Boom: he changes the whole tribe to have rush, does it affect them too when you summon one mech without rush? Here's the case different: since the minion does not gain rush when it's put on the field, it has it because the effect of Dr. boom is an Aura. It might work, it might not work. But in the end: there's nothing fix to say if this card is good or not. I see it overrated since i think it's not. But even if it works: is rush strong enough? (especially when everyone will simply put in stampeding kodo or mossy horror in their deck)
Hearthstone isn't known to be very consistent with this type of wording... We won't know for sure until we try it
This interpretation is consistent with known interactions. Warsong Commander does not buff minions after Charge was cast on them, for instance.
this is exactly what i was expecting for the spirit.
Being a Rush minion and having rush are two different things.
For instance, if you cast Spikeridged Steed on a minion, had that minion die, and then played N'Zoth, the Corruptor, you wouldn't get that minion back because it is not a deathrattle minion, it was a minion that was given a deathrattle.
I think Spirit of the Rhino and Dr. Boom, Mad Genius will work the same way. The mechs that are given rush through Dr. Boom will not be given immune because they are not Rush minions, but minions that were given rush.
But it's Hearthstone, so you never know...
Woodcutter's Axe buffs minions that are given rush by The Boomship
It is funny for me how Overkill mechanic is promoting inefficient trades 😀
That's simply a way of a troll to smash a mice with biggest mace available.
This is one point of view. In control deck you often do inefficient trades, because you trade everything even if it is not worth and your board/minions are bigger and better. Overkill actually in such situation promote to always trade the board instead of going face.
At only one mana there is no way this card doesn't see play.... Rush Warrior might become really good especially after the rotation
At least Akali, the Rhino and this one won't be able to form an Odd deck with Dr. Boom, Mad Genius.
