If they make something to counter Infinite value, like Kingsbane and lasting Hero Powers, i'll buy as many packs as Blizzard could possibly want me to buy.

Aggro decks? Why would you ever play this in an Aggro deck? It's an undestatted 6 drop, which leaves your opponent with the first turn edge.
I find this exclusively to be an anti-Combo card. And the decks that i will play this will likely be mostly Control and Midrange decks. Sure, you'll lose some tempo, and won't be able to play your largest threats. But it does give you a couple of turns to actually do something in these specfic matchups, which is HUGE!
Go ahead and play this in an Aggro deck tho. I don't see how it's going to help in any matchups tho.
psychic scream, twisting nether, pyro + ray, eq + ray. It prevents a lot of board clears scenarios.
Oh boy does this one screw over combo decks and druid ramp. I personally love this design and it's an insta craft for me just cause of all the bs you can pull with it against slow decks(which I ironically love playing). This is quite a strong aggro and midrange tool as well even if at first glance it doesn't look like it is. Love it.

Yes you can play this in an agro deck and mess with control decks ,but to be effective you need to wait till turn 7, if your going first 8 you basicly give your opponent a mana crystal advantage ,since youl both get to 5 / 5 and then opponent gets to 6. But your missing the point , This can counter any late game turn combos like mechathun,malygoss,SHUDDERWOCK,exodia mage anything that requires the 9-10 mana .And yeah thers also ramp druid that gets a huge blow also
As long as your deck has a lower curve than your opponent's or is less combo-heavy, this is a really good card. Quite useless in an aggressive matchup, but very good tech against slower decks.
Sure enough, this also depends on how many mana-heavy cards and combos are even played. But delaying something like Bloodreaver Gul'dan, Ultimate Infestation, The Lich King, Hadronox, Flamestrike or Twisting Nether etc. can make a huge difference. If Aviana hadn't been nerfed, this would have made those decks significantly worse.
I bet it originally costed 5 (so it's all about 5 like Star Aligner was all about 7), but then they realized that most Odd Decks would use it. I wish it would cost 5, but I'm glad it won't show up in Odd Decks.
It's not quite as universally good as Loatheb, but I think it's almost on the same level. Definitely a card that you should keep in your collection.
aww imagine druid ramped to 9 mana. has only UI left in hand. then u play this.

druid can probably get to UI quicker than you can get to 6 mana though :)
I wonder if it could have worked as a 4 mana, 4/4 across the board.. maybe would have made hyper aggro/murlocs too strong

With druid's all around mediocre-to-bad cards this expansion and now this, it really feels like Blizzard is doing what Blizzard does and implementing class balance with a giant hammer instead of with something more subtle.
Blizzard please, you are becoming less clear in your text wording. Of course this won’t give you 5 filled mana crystals that would make it 1 mana 5/5 at turn 6 but adding the word “empty Mana Crystals” would help new players a lot.
It is a nice disruptive card that can be teched in depending on the meta. Other than that it is straightforward.
It says set to 5, so their is no indication that they would be empty. Could be played a tempo card or a disruption card, coin out on turn 5, play it, have 5 more mana crystals to play another minion. Sort of like less powerful version of the original Corridor creeper...and that was epic. Or you can sabotage the late game to destroy your opponents combos while you set up your cheaper low curve plays to finish him off.

it's most certainly not going to be full mana crystals. That would be the most broken tempo card every printed.
also I think the mana crystals depend on your current amount of mana. If you play this at 10 mana it might set you to 5 crystals, but leave you with 4 useable mana since you paid 6-mana at 10.
I guess it works like this:
If you play it on turn 6 for 6-mana: you will have 5 empty mana crystals
If you play it on turn 10 for 6 mana, you well be left with 4 filled mana crystal and 1 empty.
If you play it on turn 6 for 1 mana (lets say, discounted by Sonya), you will have 5 filled mana crystal.
Im pretty sure it works this way. Its like if you play Succubus for 2 mana, you don't lose your filled mana crystal. You lose your used crystal. However, if you play Succubus for 0, you will lose filled mana crystal. So its like 1-mana crystal cost anyway

IMO, this card is gonna help aggro even more. Control decks or OTK decks, or any other deck which isn't aggro is gonna get destroyed if this card is played right, or even if it's not, you play it when your opponent has 8-9 mana and you f**k up his entire plan.
We shall see, but this is not a good direction for HS. I personally don't like this card because it helps aggro even more, and goddamn I hate aggro so fkn much.
