Cool concept, protect key minions from spell damage, great stats for its cost. Not sure if it will see competitive plays, so I'm gonna give it... 1 star.
Look, it’s the M A Y O R O F V A L U E T O W N M A N
what a snack 🤤🤤
Dr.Boom, high value card, but no where near as good as Troggzor. Will never see play. 1 star
5 new insane priest cards, but priest is a 1 star class so they are all...1 star. LOL priest.
This card will help many Overkill minions to stay alive longer to abuse their effects.
It will take a while for the best tactics appear.
No practical way of abusing this, so it won’t see constructed play. Good value card, but not broken enough for 5 mana.
Deathspeaker
At first I was like, this is just a bad taunt, but then I rememebered taunts don't stop spells so you can use this to protect a minion you want to survive, Like Umbra for instance, and now they have to clear both minions.
When you have two of those next to each other and your opponent plays AoE, Blizzard servers will explode. :p
This is a cool effect, but I can't imagine putting this into a constructed deck.
Maybe it'll be handy in Arena. Something like a Chillwind Yeti trades into something, goes to a 4/2. Drop this next to it, and your opponent can't trade their 2/2 into it.
The core reason Bolf Ramshield was bad is because there is no cost to attacking face. Bolf just got cleared for free. That's not the case with Snapjaw Shellfighter. If your opponent trades into minions protected by this, they still have their attack values, so the trades aren't free (unless it's something like the new Spirit of the such and such minions).
This card has amazing synergy with magma rager!
I mean... technically... yeah I’ll have to give that to you.
1) Play A taunt
2) Place Snapjaw Shellfighter to the left of taunt
3) ???
4) Profit
P.S. Left because right side is easier to interact with when opponent is generating minions for you. (like say Saronite Taskmaster can generate a 0/3 taunt to the right to trade into instead of your big taunt)
My gut tells me this isn’t that good for constructed, but it’s an amazing card to evolve or get randomly. I think we have a future Trollden star on our hands.
The adjacent minions will take no damage. This will take it all.
This minion will likely take 4 damage 3 times while the other 2 are unharmed. Good to note that for divine shield interaction.
great synergy with Stubborn Gastropod. You will have basically 1/8 poisonous with taunt and after Snapjaw Shellfighter dies you will have still 1/2 poisonous with taunt.
good drop and pick from a pack for new players, use Mirror Image and put Snapjaw Shellfighter in middle of them to have two 0/8 taunts or use 2x Goldshire Footman adjacent Snapjaw Shellfighter for two 1/8 with taunt, and it will be a good protector for 1 or 2 turns.
Don't rank all cards for ladder or arena.
Your example for the Gastropod is great but putting a taunt with less attack than Snapjaw Shellfighter is a very bad idea. You need to put something that you either really want to survive or something that has more attack (with taunt) so it deals more than 3 damage.
I'm aware of that. It was an example for newer players. You can understand from first sentence. :)
I know it was not a good choice to play that with lesser attack minions but new players don't have so much choices so I have gave examples with basic cards. :)
Yea, but what if I ram my own Stubborn Gastropod I played the turn before into yours while placing my own Snapjaw Shellfighter on board next to it? Your plan is foiled, sir.
so how about a single whirlwind effect on 2 of them? does it mean it will kill both or the game just buggs out cause one is gonna take the dmg but then nah nah the other one does and so it continues until rope? probably they will just take 1 dmg each and it ends, but the logical effect would be a never ending almost proc dmg but it deosnt on an infinite loop game breaking bug. but i guess they need to bend the rules to avoid this xd
