What a great chunk of crap, look it's the boomship but 1 mana cheaper and it has a body!!!, problem is the average pirate is no bigger than a 4/4 or 4/3 at best and rogue dosn't have the survival tools to make it for a great board comeback at turn 8 asuming you play her on tempo of course also did I mention the boomship it's not a great card to begin with? but don't belive me have fun having warlocks and paladins killing you by turn 5 or 6 or any other class stoping you and killing you with a well timed AOE
The Boomship summons from hand. This summons from deck. Big fucking difference.
So how is YOUR BIG FUCKING DIFFERENCE doing? ohhh yeah that's right like the pile of garbage it is
Dude, chill. You know, the reason people downvoted you isn't so much that you criticized the card, but more the overly negative attitude, and the erroneous comparison to The Boomship. There might be some truth to what you said. It might not be as great as people first thought. But I doubt that it's "a great chunk of crap", as you described it. Maybe consider changing your attitude just a bit. People would be more inclined to listen to what you're saying.
I never really said if the card would be good or not, only that it was different/better than you described it. I do still think it could be very powerful in the right deck. That being said, I haven't tested it out yet, and haven't seen anyone use it, so the jury is still out IMO.
I hope you're having fun with the new expansion.
? Pirate Rogue is Tier 1,5. I dont know which game do you play, but its definitely not Hearthstone.
Noted, you're right in that the way I described it was wrong, as of the over the top negative way I did, hope you as well can agree that at least your initial answer was not so polite too.
Also to the guy that posted next, nice "tier 1.5" what you have seen is a kingsbane rogue increase in power by Raiding Party and that deck doesn't run Hooktusk so don't know what game you're playing but it's not Hearthstone
You're right. I could've definitely excluded the "fucking" in my comment. My bad.
And I think you're right about Kingsbane being the most prevalent rogue deck ATM. Some do include Hooktusk and Cannon Barrage though, for some extra burst.
And Blizzard forgot the Recruit keyword even existed. The dev team really doesn't know what they're doing anymore if they forget a keyword they made LAST YEAR.
Heh, imagine if they accidentally brought the Enrage keyword back. :P
i mean, there are a lot of keywords Blizzard prints that they restrict to using in one expansion only. look at inspire and adapt. They only used those in Grand Tournament and Un'goro. The recruit keyword was i think something that was supposed to be featured exclusively in Kobolds. They don't just want some year old keyword that they haven't used in a long ass time to pop up in a random set, that would just be confusing for too many people
Hell, that was the whole reason they removed the enrage keyword. It was a keyword they made like 4 years prior to and only used it like 4 times after release so they scrapped the keyword as a whole. Blizzard definitely didn't just forget about recruit, they're not as dumb as you guys think
really guys ? Really you think that the dev team really forget a keyword ?
Do you ever know a place as WILD
It is not about only the restrictions of expansions.
If there is a minion in future with an effect like "Whenever you recruit a minion, Gain +1/+1". Even "Recruit" and "summon from your deck" is litteraly same, Captain Hooktusk's Battlecry wouldn't trigger that effect.
You know that ?
You really are sure that you know the game and mechanics so much ?
Always trying to throw mud at the dev team but please try to be more fair. Ok there are some stuff they can't do well but you can't really flame everything. Just stop it.
And yet, they're reusing the Rush keyword, introduced in Witchwood. There is really no reason for them not to reuse Recruit.
Rush was a basic replacement for charge. Not same with recruit.
Witchwood's own keyword was Echo.
i think that after a couple of the recruit cards got nerfed and Oaken Summons being played in every druid deck in every format, they saw the mechanic as potentially way too hard to balance and too easy to break, i mean Possessed Lackey still sees play but Call to Arms is nowhere to be seen (well, not in standard), so they might be carefully threading the waters, and printing it as a legendary without the keyword to point out that it's a unique effect and that players shouldn't get their hopes up in seeing recruit making a return.
The real patches! This card looks awesome and the video really highlights the potential power of it. Playing this card drew 7 total cards!!
Wait this actually makes Ticket Scalper an ok card... Just like shown in reveal video...
The problem is if you draw Ticket Scalper it's not that great.
could run Lab Recruiter and put more scalpers back into your deck. then use hooktusk to summon 3 of them and draw 6
It is not great, but in pirate centered deck you quickly will run out of pirate options, so Ticket Scalper might make the top 30 cards, as 26th card or something...
Elven Minstrel and Raiding Party will draw most of your pirates by turn8. So you need to play a huge amount of pirates in your deck to be consistent. Besides, you don't want your pirates to go trade right? Pirates are created to go face in general.
So the problem is similar to Dragon warrior archetype package which is Lack of supporting cards (in this case Dragons and Pirates) Most of good dragons/pirates have already rotated out. Well I hope Blizzard will provide more solid cards for their archetypes.
P.S. Love the Animation & Reveal video
yeah, hoping for a couple more decent ones that could fit, could probably take out a couple removal spells for more pirates.
