I love this card.
all i can think about is how annoying this card's going to be to get off of cards that give you random mage cards
Wait guys!!
Wild: TURN 3 Coin RAGNOROS!
It doesn't work like that as well as Preparation doesn't discount twice.
Turn 5: Rage Quit In Slow Motion
That's because Preparation works on spells, and when you play two Preparations in a row, the first one applies its discount to the second one.
This card works on Elementals, so using it twice in a row should work to give a 4-mana discount.
It's noteworthy that if the effect stacks, you can pull off Exodia in one turn.
Innervate was good because it worked with the rest of the cards for druid, plus druid doesn't care about card loss due to all the draw it has. Not sure the same can be said for ele mage.
Elemental Mage has lots of value and card draw though..
Elemental Mage is a minion-based deck, tempo is a big deal. And elementals have tons of card generation, Servant of Kalimos, Bonfire Elemental, Pyros.
Good early, and good with a lot of draw - which Mage has plenty of.

magInnervate.
This card is going to be crazy. Out of all of the reveals we've seen so far, Mage is shaping to be the class which gets the most goodies out of the expansion. It has crazy amounts of value, many threats to finish the game with before you reach the combo winning condition, so much AoE and removal they can't fit it all inside the same deck, tons of Ragnaros the Firelord... and all they needed was a way to keep the aggro off their backs for the first few turns.
This is how.
And I like it. Mage is the one control deck not autolosing to Kingsbane Rogue thanks to freeze. It looks like a good time to start crafting Frost Lich Jaina.
Not necessarily. We haven't seen the full set yet, and there could be some crazy elementals yet to come. Also you have to factor in that, unlike prep, this can stack, and reduce cost by 4. It probably won't see play outside of some niche combos, but still worth considering.
Getting something simple such as fire fly into that 4 mana 5/4 that gives you a geyser is enough to make this card a staple in any elemental deck.
No it isn't. You need an elemental and This card, and you lose 2 cards for a 2 mana discount. That's not worth it for such an specific combo.
I think the card is only here to spoil the mage cardpool. And yes, it's necessary, since mages random spell pool is still too good. This card is crap and allows mages add a random mage spell too add worse cards to the pool.
I posted on this earlier in this thread and everyone was down voting that this card completely ruins RNG spell pool pulls. It's a really bad card over all, that might be "good" or possibly enable a "very good" combo in some specific decks. It's not horrible for an exodia quest mage pull, but it's also functionally useless outside of ELEMENTAL MINION MAGE archetype. It's far too specific.
Too much hype over a mana efficiency card for mage.
This card is amazing.
if this doesn't see play it's only because people aren't playing hearthstone.
