Someone thinks face hunter is the only viable archetype...
The person gaining the board hammering out top tier synergy cards snowballing is going to win the game while you’re sitting there near death going for your dice rolls to get an extra two cards. Classic case of quality and quantity and tempo vs value. In a mirror matchup the Hunter playing the harmony between beast and beast support/buff cards will win almost every time against the other Hunter playing unsupported Beasts. You’re basically neutering your deck of other sorts of value to potentially gain card draw value.
Everything comes down to this question... Is the high end non-beast cards and beast synergy cards worth the sacrifice to gain a high % dice roll to gain another two cards? Is Gaining two more cards more powerful? The answer is a huge no.
this card doesn't even have to draw 3 to be good lol. Again, what you are saying is true... If you are playing face hunter. it's total bull if you are playing a Deathstalker Rexxar deck and you can afford to have a card to even just tutor 1 minion.
Well, that's it. Midrange hunter is OP now.
Though I mean... 3 Mana is a tricky slot for hunters. There are so many good 3 mana cards already.
But it's insane for Hunter to get a card like this.
The wording is fine. Omega Assembly creates new cards hence "keep them all", while this card draws you the cards as they are part of your deck. Anything else would be inconsistent.
No it works like assemble. Peter Whalen confirmed
Only in terms of drawing all three options. You do not get new cards, you get to draw 3 cards from your deck THAT is the difference I pointed out. So yes, it does not work exactly like Omega Assembly.
Quest hunter meta?
Some maths:
If you in your deck have 10 beasts and 3 non-beast minions, the chance to draw ONLY beasts is:
(10/13) x (9/12) x (8/11)= 0,419... = 42%
For 10 beasts and 2 non beasts the chance are 55%. For 8 beasts and 1 non-beast it is 67%.
Caveat:
Discover only counts UNIQUE cards in your deck. So this math considers you're playing 10 unique beasts and 3 unique minions (or 2 copies of each).
Math changes if you're playing 10 unique beasts and 3 non-beast minions but 2 of them are the same. In fact the math is much more complicated if you have one-ofs in your deck.
So basically if you play 6 non beast minions as 3 pairs and instead of 10 pairs of beasts you play 20 unique beasts as one-of the math is much, MUCH more in your favor. If the 10 beasts you're playing is 5 pairs of beasts you're screwed.
Basically try to spread out your beasts as much as you can and try to run 2-ofs of non-beasts. Because running a one-of non-beast will screw you just as much as having two
The way I understand it, it is a Tracking for 3 mana that tutors minions; and it doesn't discard.
It also always draws beasts you discover this way.
This card... is INSANE. Carddraw for Hunter is always a dangerous thing to print, and this card can potentially be 3 mana draw 3 cards :O
I am Happy that Team 5 finally dares to print cards like this.
Yes, except it seems like you only will draw the discovered one if any of the options are not a beast.
True. You only choose 1 or get all 3. This card probably requires a buildaround to be worth it,
but unlike Roll the Bones it actually works.
If I had to guess, you would put this into a Midrange Hunter of sorts.
Not bad in Spell Hunter (no joke)
ehhhh. "no joke" or "no, joke", cause i'm confused now
Well no. I think I know what you're thinking. Something like a counter to Psychic Scream. But the cards must all be beasts and it must be at least three cards to draw otherwise it discovers only.
+ if you don't have minions this does nothing, cause it discover minions, not other type of cards, you wont put this in that deck just for Psychic Scream unless we get a Priest meta like the razakus rambo priest
Just a random thought: you dire frenzy a Misha or, even better, a huffer,, than you draw all 3 beasts. Could apply to all beasts you summon from your spells or DK. The negative thing is that if you draw one of your beasts before using Master's Call you're pretty much screwed. To avoid that you should always use dire frenzy + master's call in combo.
seems situational, but when you get it must be sweet
alot of people seem to be confused at what he's getting at here; Rhok'delar checks when you play the card, meaning you can put as many minions in your spell hunter deck at the cost that you have to draw them first
by putting 2 copies of this card into your spell hunter deck, you can generally run 6 beasts while still getting procs off and consistent deck thinning so you can pull out more tempo
if anything, the issue with this isn't that it's too situational, it's more that spell hunter has tight lists and besides maybe tech cards (ex: Ironbeak Owl), there's not much you want to put in your deck over what spells you already have
