They "Nerfed" War Master Voone after stating it was a 5 mana minion, can they "Nerf" this to 4 mana please :'(
By itself, this card is terrible. But it has some potential to fit in a hand-buff dragon paladin, with cards like Ebon Dragonsmith and Cathedral Gargoyle.
I ran a deck before that revolved around Ebon Dragonsmith and let me tell you, a 3 mana Vinecleaver was top notch.
lol shit, even if it just gave +2/+2 whenever u attack without overkill it would still be utter crap...
meh, fungalmancer is x10 better than this shit
Meeh, sorry :/
Holy Shit this is BAD!
So situational. Fungalmancer feels far more reliable.
Maybe if it was 4/3...
Let's assume you can consistently get the Overkill to trigger on the turn you play this weapon. Your opponent is just going to trade away all of their low health minions immediately then avoid playing low health minions until you use up all of your durability.
And don't get me started on the hand buff effect. If you play the minion it hits on the turn that you played the weapon you're just giving your opponent the perfect target to value trade their low health minions into. If you decide to keep the minion in your hand and stack up more buffs it's going to be a dead card because your opponent can play around the Overkill so easily.
It's not exactly trash tier, but it's a very inflexible card. 3/10
Don't underestimate the upside of messing with your opponent's gameplan. If your opponent has to inefficiently trade away all their small minions, and can't play more of them, then the weapon is already doing its job.
Aside from oondastah the overkill cards aren’t very good
Truesilver still remains the best Paladin Weapon...
I really like the artwork, but the card itself seems too situational/weak.
Here comes the trash!!
It started so good...but with every new reveal i see more trash...:/
It has some potential, but I dont think that paladin is looking for this even in a hand buffing archetype. 2/5
hand buff paladin... Is that you again?
Slow, conditional trigger and high mana cost for a hand buff mechanic...this may see more play if a really really slow version of paladin arises.
Oh thank you! Just we needed! Another good Odd card to help the fledgling deck called "Odd Paladin". Now they can finally win!
How is that good? Takes the slot of both Fungalmancer and Level Up! which are both far, far, better.
+ why would odd paladin would buff minions on his hand instead of the silver hand recruits on board. This doesn't fit in odd paladin. At least not in the more agresive version, which is, the only version that exists, but you get what i'm saying.
