Yeti stats. Semi-symmetric ability which can be used to give your opponent a lemon of a card, if you're lucky enough in your discovers.
I like it.
I don't think I'd put it in a constructed deck, but it's the kind of thing I'd love to get from some "add a random legendary minion to your hand" effect.
Guys, sorry if it was already asked, but I really don't understand:
1. After playing Griftah, I receive 2 cards and my opponent receives 1 card
or
2. After playing Griftah, I receive 1 card and my opponent receives 1 card
Which one is correct?
the latter
FUCKIN COOL!
One ideal scenario is you play this in a class with weapons, Discover 2 weapon buffs, then give 1 to your opponent who happens to be a non attacking class.
But the chances of this happening are so slim.
Well this card is broken!! The potential is crazy. Ok so I discover 2 spells choose the worst 1's one goes to me the other goes to opponent, at least I know what spell he has, I picked them.
The part where this card is broken is because you are putting a card into his hand! If he has 9.. warlock druid lol well u r burning a card he put into his deck. I'll take giving u a random crap card over 1 you physically put in your deck anyday.. next dirty rat, gnoeferatu style card. I love it!!
Absolutely awful idea. Won't see play.
Why does it say 2 cards, and not 2 minions?
Because you can also discover a spell?
This card is great for any semi-slow deck, woah.
Seems like a bad card to me. Picking a good and a bad option is a 50/50 to either get a huge boost or be absolutely shit on. Picking 2 bad options gets neither player anywhere, and picking two good options also seems bad because both players get a boost. I don't really see this card working anywhere.
You could play it in like rogue and take weapon buffers, or mage and take damage from heropower modifiers. There are a lot of cards that are only good for certain classes and this card is neutral!
You can put it in ANY deck and modify your choices for ANY matchup!
It's much better than it looks! Question is if it's good enough to see constructed play.
Might wanna see Trump's review on this. I thought it was a bad card too but he really changed my mind.
Well Spellslinger [/card] was a good card, saw play in tempo mage, and sometimes it fucked you up by giving your opponent the perfect card, and that effect was completely random. Here you have a chance by picking the cards you want the have a chance to get. This is actually a bit more contrlable than the spell slinger + the fact that is a discover effect allows you to pick class stuff that your opponent wont be able to use even being a good card , like, give your priest oppoent a [card=gold]shieldslam or a Blade Flurry
I'm not sure if this will see play, but is not that bad as most of people thinks. It has vanilla stats so it isn't a terrible tempo play, and if Spellslinger made the cut (i know the poll of cards were lower then) this actually could see play as a card that replace itself with another card.
So much potential until I read the last word.
Griftah seems pretty weak. It's probably marginally better than Chillwind Yeti and Mechanical Yeti, since you do get to discover a good card for yourself (rather than a lame 1 cost spell or no card at all), but giving your opponent something good could be quite crippling. That said, there are a few minor advantages that could make this a decent card. First, if your first discover is a bad set of three cards, you at least get a second chance at something valuable. Second, you know the card your opponent gets and can play around it, while your opponent gets no new information. Third, you'll know what your opponent's strategy is, and can discover cards that are more useful to you than your opponent. (This is especially true when your classes differ - discover favors class cards, and unless your opponent is Burgle Rogue or Thief Priest, class cards will tend to be more useful to you than your opponent.) Finally, if the card you get is cheap enough, you might be able to play it immediately, realizing the value of the card you get before your opponent can.
You probably never put this card in a deck, but with all these minor advantages, it's good enough that I don't think you'll be kicking yourself if you get it from Sindragosa, Weaponized Pinata, Prince Liam, etc.
it only works if u are up against aggro while u play control, get 2 aoe cards. thats it
Yeti 3.0
I forsee this being a card making memories when it comes in your random Tavern Brawl deck. Not much else, other than hopefully good voice acting. Bet on this spouting lines as good as Moorabi's "cock-a-roach" -- and probably seeing just as much action as Moorabi in constructed :(
Hey, all the "there's no World of Warcraft characters put in Hearthstone anymore" complainers, bet you didn't think of this troll.
WoW memory lane here: My lady dwarf monk bought Griftah's troll "shoes," gave her the badass martial artist look for transmog.
/it was a chore finding the right transmog outfits for a female dwarf, btw
The card you give your opponent should be an Infallible Tikbalang Ward.
