This seems damn good in the Demonic Project / Sacrificial Pact warlock deck. Grab a Lakkari Fellhound and a Pit Lord!
It's definitely not going to be included in top tier decks, but it isn't so bad as many seem to think. Often your game plan is not the same as your opponent's, so the sort of cards you want differ. If you don't feel like gambling, the aim is to pick 2 cards that fit your game plan better than your opponent's, and hence make a statistical advantage out of it.
Somebody tell Purple that we're already excited for his Griftah Druid and if he could get to work on that already, thatd be great.
You discover 3 cards. You pick one. You discover 3 cards. You pick one.
Of the 2 you picked, you get one, and your opponent gets one, at random.
So basically you dont want to pick too good of a card because your opponent might get it.
You discover twice. - Of the cards you choose, one you keep and one gets sent to opponent.
you want to get a card your deck benefits from. A warrior would love to get reckless fury and shield slam
Ahaha, Griftah is in the game, that's great!
The small chain to get a toy from him in Zuldazar is fun.
You give yourself a 50/50 chance for a card that will either a) be extremely powerful for you b) you can very easily counter at the same time. You do have some control here, it's interesting, and if you consider the control meta you could be flipping a useless or dangerous card into your opponents hand, causing him to burn a card on draw.
What's the point of putting yourself in this situation in the first place? Why add this card to your deck? Purely fun card, nothing more.
The kind of terrible card that I love to play with. Most of the time you will lose but when it works, is so satisfying.
Fodder for more babyrage Silvername moments when a good card is discovered and given to the opponent? Mwahahahahaha!
It's not a terrible card if you think of it with certain class cards that may be useless to other classes. Totemic Might all the way!
A fair assessment might be Chillwind Yeti with a class bonus but this seems to me to be a bitterly average legendary that just won't work in standard decks and will be relatively low tier in arena. The variables and luck involved is too high.
Would this card be fun to play when messing around even? No, it's crappy, boring design. Filler legendary.
which begs the question of how and why are they printing filler legendaries? is this a request from the money guys? make ur poor customers pack this card after the 40 pack pity timer and forces u to get another 40?
Not as bad as people think actually. It meets the Yeti statline, making it an OK card even without the Battlecry. The battlecry could backfire spectacularly, or find a win condition. Given the randomness and discover mechanic, this would be useful to Burgle Rogue (but probably not many other archetypes).
Its better than yeti, because you know what card he got, but he does not know yours
Bad card. It should at least let player choose which card gets opponent.
lets try to think positivily on this card
Maybe it would fit into some Mill Sudderwock, this with Mukla. fill your openets hand with cards to make them burn there combo pieces or something.
it can also delay mechathun i guess
Lorewalker Cho is much better at that game-plan, and as someone who has been playing mostly Lorewalker Cho decks since the very beginning of Hearthstone... I can assure you that it's not a particularly good plan.
