Quote from DaxxarriRikkar stood on the intricately cobbled path and gazed up at the fabled Gurubashi Arena. Ever since he was a little troll, he’d dreamt of being here, preparing to compete at the legendary Rumble. As the crowd streamed past him toward the gates, he paused to savor the moment: the thrill of anticipation on the air, the roar of the crowd in the stands, the grimaces of pain as chumps paid the scalper for last minute tickets. Nothing in the world was like Rastakhan’s Rumble!
Rikkar had spent his whole life preparing for this moment (and bought his tickets two years ago. He wasn’t foolish). Last time the Rumble was held, Rikkar was small enough to watch the action from his father’s shoulders, screaming at the top of his lungs along with the crowd as he witnessed High Priest Thekal clinch the final for the Tigers over the Sharks. He knew it then: someday HE would be down on the sands, and the crowd would be roaring HIS name!
As he joined the long line leading into the arena, the team posters that adorned the walls caught his eye. They were pristine, unlike his well-loved, but creased and faded collection back at the village.
The Tigers! Now there was a team! Rikkar could see himself earning Shirvallah’s favor and wearing the gold. He’d been training all his life: he had the eye of the tiger . . . the thrill of the fight . . . the wing of a bat . . . and a few other animal parts, just in case. Rikkar came prepared.
One thing you could say for the Bats, Hir’eek’s team knew how to get the job done. And shriek. And do absolutely anything it takes to win. Rikkar had to respect the initiative.
Why be a Bat when you could be a Rhino though? No fancy tactics or thinking. Got a problem? Smash it! Don’t got a problem? Smash it anyway! Plus, everybody loves War Master Voone. Not only are Voone’s parties legendary, rumor has it that he’s got friends in high places. Blackrock Mountain is pretty high up, right?
Rikkar couldn’t believe it. Twenty years later, he was finally part of the crowd thronging into the Gurubashi Arena. His heart was resolved: he wasn’t just here to watch the spectacle this time. He was here to compete! Somehow. . . .
He just needed a chance to prove himself!
But which team would he join? Which Loa would he pledge himself to?

Does overkill only trigger when you attack ? or will it trigger when your oponent trades into your minion too?
Only on attack (or in this minion's case, never)
If I'm not mistaken, overkill works before the unit dies. So how far are you willing to take that overkill ?
FAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAR
Seems to fit with the warrior rush card... Lot of draw it you put it all together. Honestly there could be something there . It's have to be a rush deck with the new season as well. A ton of board control and tempo combined
I played Rocket Boots in arena a few times... It is underwhelming even there even if I synergize it with the Woodcutter's Axe
This set has a real TGT vibe to it... I don't think that's a good thing.
Those reveals make me relive Ticking Abomination all over again. 3 weeks before launch still no reveal schedule or stream.
And the age-old philosophical question - if an OP ability is never triggered, is it still OP? (Hint: No, it's not)
I don't even... Shaw plus scalper is an interesting combo. But getting shaw on board killing something with 4 health and drawing 2 cards is still weak for 8 mana play...
And Heavy Metal is just simply -2 mana and -12 stats on Yip. And Yip wasn't even all that good, even though it is end of turn and not one time... Card is not even odd...
Remember that a lot of busted option will go away with the rotation, and maybe a 8 mana combo like that will not be that bad.
Just thinking that (in standard) being able to destroy a board over and over again will now be almost impossible, makes me think about other combos that in this meta are good, but just not enough to compete.
Rocket Boots+ Scalper is 6 mana "Deal 4 damage to a minion, draw 3 cards" but that's still a 2 card combo and both are so bad on their own you really don't want them in any deck
Ticket scalper will probably not see any constructed play but it is a solid as hell arena card definitely
Both cards seem bad. I'd take Gnomish Inventor over Scalper, because it's way more reliable.
Summon a random minion for 6 mana... I mean, in best cases when you are near 8 to 10 armor you are still summoning something like a 8/8. 6 mana summon a 8/8 is fair, but then you have cases where you summon a 2/4, or you don't have any armor. Too random for the cost. Yip is soooooooo much better. Wonder if it should have been 5 mana but too good in odd warrior.
If it was five mana, it would probably see play in constructed... But it might be too powerfull at five mana, I agree with you on that.
Heavy Metal! isn't an either/or with Yip, it's a both. Silence priest was better when they also had Purify, even if Purify wasn't as good as Silence.
I don't really think a Heavy Metal Yip deck is that much more than a meme deck, but running both in some sort non-odd Control Warrior would probably lead to some sweet memes.
Silence Priest was also a fringe deck at best, just like YIp Warrior
Well, depends on the armor cards go to Warrior or Druid....
that's cool and all, but why does thekal seems to have 4 fingers when trolls have only 3?
Maybe that's why he's the champion...
Bwomsandi is like the Disney hades of warcraft. 100% same vibe.
1) Control Odd Warrior is already here, welcome to the meta.
2) Control warrior would not run heavy metal ever, even if it was not an odd deck right now. Not even if the card would not take a deck slot.
