okey then imagine a scenario where your playing against an agresive paladin that runs divine favor and time out.
Not uncommon right??
Okey if your playing control , you either die by turn 6-7 or you prolong the game and eventualy win ,nice
IF your also playing an agresiv deck ,you can't rly trade evry time cause your giving him the tempo willingly and he will end up stacking up the dmg to a lose, so a better aproach is go all in on face killing him before he kills you except you can't cause of this card .
Its worse then losing against last years Secret Mage that was running 2 iceblocks, you literally can't do anything once the spell was played .
Wayyyyy better than ice block, the main reason is you wont be stuck at 1hp next turn when your opponent knows what secret it is. Another reason is it can stop or delay a OTK combo I'm am instant. Imagine playing a rogue, 6 cards in hand 0 in deck.. stop that silly malygos combo in its tracks for the turn. Does this prevent mechathun from instant killing you?
Now we need some immunity breaking abilities. Like there was an ability for warriors in WoW that broke paladin's bubble. Not sure if it still exists, but I rember it was there during WotLK times.
And it's fucking genius. Why give your customers everything, when you can make them wait and want it more? At least that's what I learned in my business and management class.
This is not Magic: The Gathering (which is a better card game btw).
This is a fun and interactive game. New players shouldn't feel the pressure of playing cards with the fear of being countered. #IronyOFC #SmallIndieCompany
Magic always fascinate me when I was a kid but could never play it. You probably refer to the active counter (I heard something about that) you can play during your opponent turn.
As you mentioned, I don't think it will be implemented soon in HS. I was more thinking about a "proactive" counter (a new Loatheb or a neutral minion Battlecry : Your opponent can't play a spell next turn)
EDIT : the latter option would be pretty difficult to balance I guess
-Counterspell, doh? *Hearthstone design team*
The counter is that you can see the opponent is immune and don't throw anything into his face this turn.

Ice Block for paladin?
I hope paladin will get more survivability tools other than this.
Sorry guys, I meant for paladin to get more control tools instead of delaying the inevitable like this.

I think there will be some double-edge cards and this card supposed to turn them into your favor.
I personally really dislike this way of revealing cards one at a time over a period of a few weeks...
Just do them 20-30 at a time over a week or 2, or just all in one go. Didn't they do that once before?
But this is the marketing strategy...
And it's fucking genius. Why give your customers everything, when you can make them wait and want it more? At least that's what I learned in my business and management class.
There's a fine line between making your customers excited and losing their attention.
So... you think its genius... because you were told it is genius... by the exact kind of people that designed it...
Meanwhile actual target audience hates it.
This card is no Ice Block - It will not have a spot in any of my decks that is for sure.
As a hater of any OTK deck, I am not a huge fan of cards supporting them...
Can be pretty powerful in the right deck. Let see if any kind of counter card will appear in the expansion.
