Decks Assemble is This Week's Tavern Brawl!
All of Azeroth wants to brawl for you! Start with a small deck, recruit as you go, then send them to fight over and over!
Trivia
- This is the fourth time we've seen this brawl.
- The debut of this brawl was on December 2, 2015.
- Decks are created as you play the brawl through a Discover interface.
How it Works
- You pick your class that you'd like to play.
- At the start of your turn, choose a card via a discover-like interface.
- When you play a card, shuffle a copy of it into your deck.
- When your turn finishes, your hand is put back into your deck. 4 Cards are drawn from your deck.

I see this one is very divisive here. Some love it, others hate it. I'm in the love category. It creates some of the most interesting matchups in the game. Trying to piece together synergies, guesstimating the chances of drawing the X card you have discovered, early game decisions of weak card I can play that will be junk later (but gain current tempo) vs. strong late game card that will be dead until late game.
My most fun match so far involved picking Shudderwok on my first turn. From there I had to piece together a deck to make him work. About 15 turns in I wasn't looking so hot but finally got to play him and it swung the game.
Fun brawl for me, one of my favorites.
My first game (Warlock Mirror) went straight to the turn limit. Boardclear -> Gul'dan _> Boarclear -> Gul'dan.
Personally my favorite brawl.
Yeah, games can take a long time, but in my opinion, this is the one brawl with the most skill involved. Not only are you building your own deck with synergies, you have an idea of what is in your opponents deck, to build answers or play around certain combos. Decisions like going for tempo or going for greed, when to go for board control and when to start going face, general deck building and how to play the odds... It's all in this one. Yeah, RNG is there, but the depth of skill is more than anything you find in constructed or arena IMO.
BTW, I see this all the time, cards that generate cheap tokens in-hand are generally bad, because you'll dilute your deck with those tokens and you don't want them in the later turns.
I agree, that this is the most skill-dependent brawl ever released. I absolutely love it.
^ so much this - one of the best brawls ever made! The only downside is that games could take some time but hey, better than the 100th return of Randomonium or similar borefests.
Agree 100%. This is by far my favorite brawl. Probably the only one that I would choose to play over arena or constructed.
4th time doing this brawl, still don't get the mechanic, it is very confusing, how come I end up with more and more chickens if I never play them? It doesn't matter what I pick will always end up in my deck even if I don't play it, why? Sometimes you only get crap choice, I'll rather not keep any. I just tapped the screen randomly and somehow got a pack, so happy not to have to replay it.
Cards from your hand get shuffled back into your deck. Doesn't matter if you play a card or not, it will continue to show up unless you find a way to discard it, replace it, or remove it from the deck.
The first time this brawl showed up, I didn't get the mechanic at first either. Since copies of any cards you play go into your deck and your hand gets shuffled into your deck at the end of your turn, it's to your advantage to play every card you can--even chickens. Also, as GetchX mentioned above, it's best not to pick cards that add cheap tokens to your hand (e.g. Drygulch Jailor).
Spam Curse of Weakness.
Frustrate opponent to no end
Do not pick Mage's Deck of Wonders. kthxbye.
Dragon's Soul + Test Subject = VALUE
Know what I would find more interesting? Give me one of 30 random decks that for-real went 12 wins in arena. I don't want to construct mid-game.
I did the same.
Cant be asked with this bullshit.
Brawl took too loooonnggg. Should just limit the number of the deck to 15 and after that draw it until fatigue.
this Brawl is a mini-arena. i don´t like arena at all, not even in its mini-format ...
It is entirely different than arena. Cards get shuffled back into deck, so it's more of a classic deckbuilding style game. Feels very rpg like.
well, i wrote mini-arena, since the card-draft out of 3 cards is exactly like arena. ofc the rest is very different
Infinite matches. Thank you Bli….. ResidentSleeper
