Panel Recap
We're covering this live. Refresh for updates!
- Trolls are awesome - Peter Whalen 2018
- They wanted to capture the essence of all different types of trolls. Best way to do it? Fight!
- The characters each class will see will come from the faction each champion represents.
- Overkill - they wanted people to feel powerful, you're a gladiator after all.
- Spirits - they wanted build-arounds for all the classes.
- Originally, spirits were unable to be removed. It didn't feel good.
- Spirits also at one point had lots of health. Still chances to not do your "cool thing". Stealth helps give you a better chance of getting to combo with it.
- Spirits are all for the early game. Do your cool stuff at the start of the game when it isn't yet decided.
- Loa are super awesome legendaries. They feel like the classes they are in.
- Loas aren't meant to go in every deck, they need to go in "the right deck".
- Each class has their own team they are a part of. Each team has a Loa.
- Spirit cards are intended to work with their Loa. They're going to go in similar decks.
- A Troll Champion is also on each team. They are a legendary minion (one class gets a hero instead)
- The other seven cards (non Loa, Champion, Spirit) are going to be within each class' theme.

Oh yeah, add some brewmasters and we got a real meme deck xD
Why would we downvote this guy for asking this?
Am I the only one who doesn't get the whole faction / teams / champions / loa's / spirits thing?
i dont know either, they didnt reveal anything about revealing cards, but i think it will start in 15-16 NOV , i expected that because each expansion the reveal season last for 2 weeks, they said the exp will be available in 4 DEC, if it started om 15-16 NOV and lasted for 2 weeks, the final reveal stream will be on 30 NOV- 1 DEC, which is 3-4 days before the expansion release, and it's a normal time gap.
I'm probably blind but when are they going to release more cards or isn't that revealed yet?
Pirates, trolls, spirits, and more! This theme has promise, they better not mess it up.
Have buy both of the pre ordre to expansion and not have got it yet..... and not shaman hero and cardback??
They make a trailer and put their new pre order on their site before updating the game. So you need to wait until the game gets updated because the card back and the hero aren't in game yet.
oh ok thank you :)
So with the Hex Lord you can get the mage Quest done twice, not very consistent but it would be cool to take 3 turns in a row :D
The memery is real with Hexmaster
Loving the flavor of this expansion!!! I didnt play WoW but Im stoked to hear others who did are saying they're using actual lore characters for cards this time. Can't wait to see each classes Loa / Champion
If they continue the trend 4 classes will have a hero card at the time of the rotation. and some classes can have infinite value without having a hero card (example: jade idol)
The reason for that is because Omega Defender refers to the person piloting the mech. The Piloted Shredder, Sneed's Old Shredder, and Piloted Sky Golem are referring to the shredder as the focus of what the minion is. The whole flavor of those three are that they "supposedly" drop the pilot of them when they die and is why they have the mech tag.
I know that Battle for Azeroth has been a bit lack luster, however, I like that I am familiar with the lore already. There's no doubt that they hope that this will increase WoW subscriptions as well, but still - playing both games they synergize well lore-wise. I much prefer this than “wacky” lore-weak expansions (read: Boomsday/Karazhan party).

The front page post link needs to be fixed:
A new expansion has been announced and it's called FILLMEINYO! Come see more card reveals...
:-)
I'm not very happy about Blizzard cross promoting different franchises in HS. The overwatch mechanic is very stupid and shouldn't B a part of HS.
I'm not looking forward to Odd rouges summoning Genji.
Omegalul? XD "heartstone: heroes of warcraft"? World of warcraft?
Uhh...you do realize HS is based on Warcraft? also "Overwatch mechanic?" what are you talking about? :/
except Piloted Shredder Sneed's Old Shredder or Piloted Sky Golem all have someone inside of them and yet they have the Mech tag. Yes, you only see them when the shredder gets destroyed but imo it's just Blizzard inconsistency.
