Hearthstone Balance Changes Incoming - Information Coming Next Week
In a tweet this afternoon, the Hearthstone team has announced they have reconsidered their stance on balance changes before the next set. More information will be made available in an update next Monday, October 15.
What changes would you like to see?
Quote from @PlayHearthstoneWe've been discussing a couple of card balance changes to make next week. We'll have more information to provide on October 15.
Agreed!
I'll be honest, I don't mind star aligner Druid. I have an 87% winrate against it with Even Shaman and Even Paladin.
People never played that deck just lost with some mid-range , slower deck or enemy draw well , so people just moaning now about that deck , truth is they know nothing.
"I wanna play a meme deck AND win vs competitive decks" dude what?
Astral druid, get a death lord, dirty rat or sylvanas and they r screwed. Even throw in a cold light Oracle because they are basically in every deck in wild.
that is not the point of wild..the point of wild is to have many fun decks to play and not 2 opresive ones
quest rogue. druid class in both standard and wild. i know priest isnt too good atm but psychic scream makes me want to throw my computer out a window lmao.
Something to permanently shatter the Aviana-Kun combo is all I'm looking for. It actually made me stop playing wild after the first month of climbing when it was discovered. Blizzard has to see that it's a problem and that just bumping up Juicy mana cost will do absolutely nothing to stop this behemoth.
Cute, a random e-hero anonymously calling someone they disagree with an idiot. Want a cookie? <3
Want me to post a screenshot of the 18 decks I'm playing for you now or later broseph? :) As the saying goes, assuming makes an ass out of me and you.
On the topic of Quest Rogue I don't know many Odd Rogues or Odd Pallies that complain about the free wins from the match-up. I also have a sizeable handful of youtube videos from various streams that shows how there is still something interactive plays for both players during the match-up, Firebat being just one of said streamers. However, if you're going to found your argument on that point I have a few other decks for you that also have comparatively low interaction depending on the match-up. Let's say Odd Warrior, Spell Hunter, Control Warlock, Even Warlock, Reno Lock, Jade Druid, Burn Mage, Odd Rogue, Star Aligner Druid, Shudderwok OTK Shaman, etc, etc. But sure, Quest Rogue is the ONLY deck in wild and/or standard that has lower amounts of interaction and is such a unique plague for the game that is not seen anywhere else in both of HS's main formats at all ;)
I know sweeping generalizations sound cute when you make statements like "...pretty much the entire population of HS players HATE it...", but please no, just stop. Even I have my hate for various decks (especially wild Kingsbane Rogue), but I'm not going to be naive enough to make blanket statements to project my opinions onto everyone else about the acceptance or rejection of a deck based on zero observable evidence. Don't that be that guy.
A better version of this announcement would be to objectively describe both the reason for doing nerfs and also the reasons for not doing them.
they usually explain themselves pretty well (minus that one time) in the update posts themselves. This is just a heads up
For the same reason it got nerfed the last time. Because the deck is a solitaire deck and pretty much the entire population of HS players HATE it, both aggro AND control players, except dbags that play the deck. Clear now??
i hope for giggling, i kept 3 golden copies aside 2 regular ones
Thumbnail got me excited...
BREAKING NEWS!!!
I just hacked the Blizzard's server and got a small glimpse of the next changes! Enjoy!
Wild
Aviana from 5/5 -> 3/3
Develop insights: Dragoncaller Alanna and Aviana have similar name, art and cost; so it felt natural to do the same for her stats. We are going to keep Blade of C'Thun in our sights to make sure it won't become too opressive.
Kun the Forgotten King -> no longer has the option to choose from 10 armor
Develop insights: Hosting long games in our servers that last over 5 mins has proven to be too expensive for our small indie company. Also, when asked "When/where do you play heartstone the most?" the most voted answer was: "while taking a dump". So in order to better serve our customers, we need to ajust the metagame to align with the average "dumping time". Getting extra 10 armor on turn 10 onwards cleary goes against it.
Juicy Psychmelon -> Juicy Wild Players Tears
Develop insights: After many many many MANY weeks of carefull consideration on the wild meta subject, we came to the following conclusion: Juicy Psychmelon is the most balanced card in the history of hearthstone.
It has a winrate of EXACTLY 50.00%. Half of the time the card wins and the other half it loses to another Druid. We are very proud of this achievement! Since a lot of players are still unhappy because it "feels bad" to lose half of the time to it, we decided a change was necessary, so we changed the card's name to make sure our costumers know how much we care about them and their opinions.
Now, a final word from our new president: Allen Brac!
"- You Think You want those changes, But You Don't"
This is gold
If only I could upvote this gold twice!
To keep in the theme: "I appreciate your effort."
How can a deck need to be dealt with when it gets completely countered by an entire archtype (aggro)?
Is this a "Deal with a deck that is broken and actual Tier 0 status" or just a "Control struggles with a deck and is annoying if you're not playing the aggro counter so it should be nerfed" issue?
The problem is aggro doesnt deal with it so easily, while control has no chance against it. The only real counter the deck has is aggro mage, which sucks against everything else.
