If you are playing odd rogue and your druid opponent has 8 cards in hand... You have probably lost already
Very flexible, can be used to mill combo decks and Evenlocks. Also a 3-mana 5/5 is pretty hard to deal with, especially if you have nothing on board to use the bananas on right away, especially when there aren't many decks to punish you for giving them bananas
Even in a tournament format, nothing new can break out. This game is in such a miserable state thanks to the self inflicted wound that is "evergreen".
You’re expecting new off meta decks far deep in an expansion at a championship? If there’s a time to stick with high % reliable builds it is now.
Anyone know why Odd Warrior is only showing up once? With a lot of odd rogue, Zoo, and Malygos druid it just feels real strange that it is being played so little.
Even that one Odd Warrior isn't the usual build, hatul chose to include Frothing Berserkers, Carnivorous Cubes and Festeroot Hulks to the deck, among other things. Can't wait to see how well the deck performs.
Oh jeez, I didn't even look at the list. That is a shit ton of spice. Thanks for pointing that out to me!
Nice! Iv been saying that Festeroot Hulks r a sleeper card from the start! :D Lets prove me right!
It gets horribly stomped by things like quest rogue, shudderwok shaman, egg hunter and fringe for-tournament-only hard counter decks like mecha'thun shenanigans. This is an especially big deal because in conquest, each deck needs to win once. The counter decks mentioned above aren't even rare so it's extremely dangerous. You risk the scenario where your warrior gets 0-3 swept
In contrast, the other super polarized deck, quest rogue as a passable winrate vs all aggro, only losing hard to tempo mage, which is an easy ban if you brought the deck. Odd warrior loses hard to enough things to fill up a 4 deck lineup, so you can't even ban things out
In other tournament formats such as LHS and the one HGG is using, odd warrior is a passable pick because you're allowed to not win with it in order to win a series
Berserkers, cubes and festeroots are a good choice for a conquest odd warrior. Those are in there to give you a chance vs the hard counters. Don't try this on ladder, kids ;)
That makes sense, I watch like one or two tournaments a year so and I never remember the format so thanks for pointing that stuff out to me!
But play very well in ladder.
am i the only one who picked islandcat purely because hes called islandcat
i mean its almost entirely luck based who wins anyway
It's somehow disturbing to see how Odd Paladin slowly disappeared from the big tournaments. I think in the last tournament there was only one single paladin deck, now there are no decks. At least the priest found it's way back to the spotlight after believed dead.
Hope we will see some nice games.
there are just too many efficient boardclears at this point. Even Tempo mage and Hunter have a very realistic chance of beating them on the board.
I mean, the deck runs Raidleader ffs, it basically relies on the Hero power and Level Up! as the power core and fills the rest with any Odd card that vaguely fits the playstyle.
I think it was removed because of how easy it is to counter. Odd Rogue with Fan of Knives, Warrior with Brawl and Reckless Flurry, Even Warlock with Hellfire or Defile, Control Priest with Spirit Lash, Druid with Swipe and Spreading Plague, and Tempo Mage with Everything! (I probably missed other counters, but you get the jist.)
in every rarity there has to be at least one Druid card :/
Giggling Inventor In 19 Decks of 64. What a card.
And Mind Control Tech is played because of Giggling Inventor.
too ez for sintolol
Nice Paladins Decks
