Hearthstone Patch 12.2 - New Dailies, Hallow's End, Welcome Bundle, New Keyword, Bug Fixes
A new Hearthstone patch has arrived that makes preparations for the upcoming Hallow's End event, introduces new player ranks, a new keyword, and more!
- Casts When Drawn is a new keyword (phrase really) . Could this mean the next expansion will make more use of it?
- You can buy the new welcome bundle now to get some Classic packs and a Legendary dragon.
- Hallow’s End begins October 17 and lasts through October 31.
- A golden Witch's Cauldron is being given out for logging in during Hallow's End.
There's no 100% confirmation the Blizzard Events is the BlizzCon card back, but their "mystery" image in the patch notes has a BlizzCon logo in the bottom right corner. If it is the BlizzCon card back, the description is incredibly misleading. I recommend not buying the virtual ticket until they confirm the reward if it is important to you.

So I have a problem with the new ranks for all you people who love this game hear me out think back to the days when you were a noob not knowing anything about the game and you played against a top tier meta deck at r25 you remember how frustrating it was...... now flash forward to tonight my gf just started 2 or 3 days ago she watches me play so she wanted to try she is currently at r42 and is doing really well... and about an hour ago she played against a full list of odd rouge and I thought maybe the guy just had baku and was trying it out sure enough the guy had leeroy ti giggles fo fungalmancer if any of you want to go play at those ranks think about what your doing dont be dick and ruin the whole game just so you can build your self esteem play to have fun up at those ranks not to just stomp kids and new players blizzard made these ranks for new players not people who want to smurf and make top tier decks think about if the get beat like that they may not come back dont be the people that kicked our asses when we started. Just please be nice at the high ranks 25 play whatever top tier garbage you want but dont make the new player ranks like that.
Well new players can buy cards as well so it's expected that there will be people at low ranks with good decks. It doesn't mean that they are smurfing necessarily, but a good deck helps for sure...
Hello! The welcome bundle is evergreen... is a welcome bundle so is available until you purchase once!
Yeah, I'm sure... the only restriction is one purchase per region!
Sadly no!

The NEW new player experience... Still I won
R47 looks like Rank 15 to me ⚽ 🏈
Notes to new comers: Wait a month until the market is cooling down ☔ 🌊 ❄️
Note to self : Have a deep pocket on the way to Rank 50 💰 💵
Note to Blizzard : Matching people with the same 'dusts', epic vs epic, common vs common, etc ♿ ⛔ 🚼
I'm still interested in leveling an alt acct, but definitely need more cards to compete. But to play arena you need to reach level 10 in each class and I think they nerfed the amount of xp you get from friendly challenges. I got the boomsday project cardback the first day, but the xp of playing the various puzzles classes didn't transfer to my classes like I thought it might. I also played my lock all day and only got to lv 12, seems really slow.
FINALLY!
"AFTER TEN THOUSAND YEARS..."
The rank 50 ladder is actually way more aggressive than rank 20-25. As soon as the patch hit I started playing a pretty decent demon lock (opened guldan) and had a 90% winrate for the first few hours. Then all I faced was back to back tempo mages and midrange hunters (minus rexxar, but some mages already crafted luna). This morning I thought there might be a little more variation and played 6 more games (4 midrange hunters and 2 tempo mages). Once you get past rank 46/47, there's literally nothing else but these 2 decks. That's the entire meta, two decks. Since no one has enough dust to create control decks, all you see is near meta quality aggro decks with no counters yet. My advice is for new players to dust every card and make a zoolock, it should have a favorable winrate against these two decks (HSreplay link below), but it's hard to tell for sure with key cards missing from everyone's decks. If you don't counter these two decks, you wont get past rank 47 without a tremendous amount of losses. After about 50-60 games (currently rank 44), I'd say most of the players I face are bored experienced players farming new players (and me unfortunately). Don't make the mistake I did. Make one of these two aggro decks which have about the same winrate against each other,... or start crafting a zoolock, which is favored once all three decks have all their key cards.

Substitute Reckless Rocketeer for Leeroy, and two Vulgar Humunculous for Keleseth (until you can craft it). A new friend that was farming me (and others) had this made within 2 hours of the patch, but he did open Keleseth, so that's pretty big. No one has giggling's yet so you don't need to tech mossy horror. Good luck.
Thanks for the horror story about Rank 50 😖
Looks like not even R50 can protect new players from slaughters, unless only Basic cards are allowed between ranks 50-30 😭
I think I won't be there until those 'pros' or newbie-hunters are having enough fun and gone 😱
i made a new account for the fun of it and when i reached 1600 dust i went for whizbang....only problem is he's nowhere to be found!!!anyone have the same problem?
You are not allowed to use Whizbang until you get to rank 25, so I guess they would also block you from crafting it until you get to rank 25 to prevent you from wasting your dust.
Hey, it wasn't my idea, don't shoot the messenger.
it doesnt say anything about that in the patch details...so this rank 25 thing applies just for him?cause the rest of the legendaries are craftable at rank 48.
Reddit users are saying that it's blizzard's way of protecting new players from near constructed level decks. If they allowed it, it would be nothing but whizbang mirrors, which imo is more fun than what it currently is.

Is it possible for a person at rank 20 to get to the lower ranks (25-50)?
NO.
You have to create a brand new account to enjoy the 50-26 ranks and free packs 😋😎😍
