Can I replace Godfrey with a mossy horror or something? I have the dust and every other card, but I want to make Hemet or Togwaggle too.
Godfrey is OP tho
If you plan on playing any type of non-even control Warlock for the next year and a half, craft Godfrey. He's a staple for control Warlock.
you are so lucky...it would be so easy to play a counter. I assume that you are high legend allready.
Meta is worse than ever. I've played 11 games today and 10 were aggro bullshit, one was against a taunt druid...This was rank 9-10 btw.
Also, don't make a Warlock Mecha'thun deck. It gets destroyed by a Mecha'thun priest or druid. I didn't see any Warrior playing this kind of deck, but it seems as bad as Warlock's one.
Game is honestly sad right now, I can't play any control/combo deck because of aggro's power. This patch is aggro patch...Meh.
Its still early man i have hope
I see not need to stop playing my heal zoolock, at least for now... Still best budget deck for ladder.
Its a control deck with guldans succ power. You win by control or by destroying the opponents combo with demonic project..
which is exactly your win condition in that Control Warlock? the Voidlords resurrected by the DK?
Big game hunter .....face
The chance that Demonic Project gives them Lord Jaraxxus and then you kill them with Sacrificial Pact.
Yeah, that's a big problem with that deck. It seems like every other control deck will get to their win condition before you whittle them down.
Demonic project kills the win conditions of most combo decks. So then you can fatigue them. And current combo decks have pretty big tells to when they have the combo in hand.
Other than that it just eats aggro decks, which are a large percentage of the current meta.
lmaoooo tru
7 Decks.... 210 total cards... 39 are Boomsday (18%)
If you remove the Mech-Paladin from the list, it is 6 Decks... 180 total cards.... 18 which are Boomsday (10%)
Only Paladin & Priest decks are reliant upon any type of synergy from Boomsday, meaning remove the Boomsday cards and the decks would not exist. The other decks have the cards sprinkled in one or two here and there (Mostly GIggling Inventor) to augment decks which were already in play. Will likely try a few out, however was hoping for a bit more creativity that just adding in Giggling Inventor X 2 and calling it a "Boomsday" deck.
I hope you understand that sets can't have 135 broken cards that all go into decks and the develpment and progression of a standard format is due to the subtle changing and adding of cards over each set. If every deck changed 15+ cards each expansion no one would continue to play the game because all their decks from the previous expansion would be obsolete and it would be hard to updrage them as easily.
That's the current state of the game, unfortunately, and it is a disappointment. We'll probably see more cards get sprinkled in later as people learn more about how things can work together. Innovation has been one of the hardest things to find in Hearthstone over the past few sets, it's nothing like earlier sets.
The biggest problem stems from us having way too high of a power level during Un'Goro / Frozen Throne. Even Witchwood, people just kept playing the same stuff plus a couple standout Even and Odd decks. It evolved for sure, but it took too long.
"If every deck changed 15+ cards each expansion no one would continue to play the game"
Not sure I listed the fact that I was looking for that many (15+) to be included in each deck, but thanks for assuming that for me. I merely stated it would be nice in an article that was aptly named "How to Boomsday - Seven Decks of Destruction" that there would be more than 1-2 cards from that expansion in the majority of the decks. Of the decks listed, 5 of them are nearly the same as prior to the expansion. Even-Lock, Control-Lock, Odd Rogue, Recruit Warrior, Toggwaggle Druid... Average of like 2-3 new cards out of 30 in each deck.
The other two decks are more of what I would think represent "How to Boomsday - Seven Decks of Destruction" with the Mech'Thun Priest and Mech Pally.
"That's the current state of the game, unfortunately, and it is a disappointment."
Flux, I don't think that is the state of the game though. The decks I am playing with and against have a larger variety of cards from all of the set(s) that what is listed above. Other than Priest and Pally, the other 5 decks are literally pre-Xpac decks with a few cards sprinkled in for variety. What I am disappointed with is that these 7 decks are what were chosen to be represented in the article, and understand that was likely not of anyone on the sites choosing. I almost missed the fact that Blizzard supposedly had a hand in picking these seven. Would have thought they would have put more effort into showing the value of the cards from their latest expansion in their chosen deck list.
All-in all, not complaining about the expansion at all. I've had a lot of fun with it and the new cards thus far. Just weird how they chose to list decks which really were pretty damn good prior to the expansion and would do well with / without the new cards.
This guy again..
