The Most Popular, Successful, and Worst Cards of The Boomsday Project
We're a couple of days in to Hearthstone's newest expansion and it's time we take a look at which cards are seeing the most successful play. Thanks to the folks at HSReplay, here are the top Boomsday cards so far!
Popular Neutral Cards
Lots of players bringing back Mechs. It feels like GvG all over again!
Popular Class Cards
Warlocks, Druid, and Paladins! Seems about right from what we've been seeing with popular decks.

The Worst Cards
Not showing much promise yet, you may want to hold off on creating decks with these cards.
Cards need to have over 20,000 plays to be included below.
I am impressed Soul infusion is that high, even above The Soularium. The winrate indicates that Doubling Imp combo is a bit too strong.
Not all zoolocks run The Soularium because it's a legendary, why Soul Infusion is rare and players may run 2 of them in their decks, hence the high played rate.
The table shows the winrate not the playrate.
Unless your point is every deck that runs The Soularium also runs Soul Infusion so the small discrepancy comes from higher winrates of budget decks at low elo games; which i can agree but looks a bit misleading .
I run reseach project in my exodia mage. 62% winrate from rank 5 to rank 3. Still climbing.
I'm just tired of playing against warlock, why it has to be top class at every meta?
You forgot the /s
Rogue the most difficult class? What? It's really that difficult to play minions and hit face? Damn I'm never gonna touch Rogue thanks to you, I appreciate it man.
There is no "difficult" class, there are only difficult decks, and OTK or control decks are difficult, not the aggro push face ones. The point is I personally don't remember Rogue as having difficult decks.
And you do realise that this game is more than 50% RNG based? You can win games by drawing perfectly or lose by drawing the worst cards of your deck. There is no point in saying "I lost because I couldn't guess what my opponent it's gonna play 5 turns after". You do decisions based on what your opponent plays and what you think it's good at that moment.
Miracle rogue is hard, but if you think there's no point in thinking some turns ahead it will be very easy for you =)
Lmao
First off, if your opponent Mecha'thun's your Zoolock deck, then your "aggro" plan has failed in every respect, and your opponent probably could've beaten you without Mecha'thun (how the hell did you even make it to fatigue).
Secondly, the statistics above prove that Mecha'thun is not broken because he sits at a 51.5% win rate (pre-nerf Call to Arms was like 70% or something ridiculous).
There are plenty of options. Anything that puts a minion on your opponents board. Demonic project is a good option too. I have one in my Zoo deck just for that reason.
4 whole people.
Out of 6.
still not broken
This doesn't really mean much. Of the top 10, 5 of the cards are zoolock cards, which is a deck that has a low skill rating but high success rate against a lot of decks. High skill decks may have a low total win ratio, but this is because there are a lot of net deck players who drag these powerful decks down with low skill ratings (e.g. the pre-nerf patron warrior had a 45% overall win rate).
Topsy Turvy OTK is the new Patron Warrior (pre nerf)
I want Myra's UE to work so much t.t

Back when Mecha’thun was revealed I said someone would find a way to break the game with this card, and you all downvoted me. Well guess what, he’s a Tier 2 deck now and the way things are going it looks like he’s gonna stay one thanks to the tools Druid and Warlock has.
congratz, you get all the internet points now and an imaginary handjob. Also, you totally don't sound really insecure right now.
Yeah, i was in the chess club...
Something needs to be done about Mecha’thun. It is breaking the game bad.
I knew dr.boom wouldn’t be as strong as a lot of people thought. Turn 7 do nothing against the board is way too slow and a powerful yet unreliable hero power doesn’t make up for it. And all the slower decks have such blowout win conditions that incremental value decks just don’t win
