A Co-Op Brawl This Week - A New Year Bash
The party is here! Work together with another player to decorate the tavern and kickoff a New Year's party!
No idea why we're celebrating a new year... in August. Oh well, enjoy your free Classic pack.
Trivia
- This is a brand new brawl in name.
- This brawl is the same as "A Mammoth of a New Year" which we saw late March 2017.
- Party Crasher auto-attacks contribute to progress on the Deal 100 Damage to Enemy Heroes daily quest.
How it Works
- No deck creation this time, you get to play as either Valeera the Rogue or Malfurion the Druid - chosen at random when the game starts.
- If either of you get low, try and toss some heals out. Use them wisely!
- The game ends when one of you die. Don't die!
Phase 1
- Your initial goal is for you and your partner to decorate the party. You do this by using your Hero Power to add decorations.
- The Hero Power uses all your currently available Mana to go towards the decorations. In total, you must spend 25 mana together.
- In this phase, Party Crashers (4 mana 3/5 with Taunt) will spawn each turn. They attack face so deal with them.
- Once the party has been decorated, a Boss (Pinata Golem) will spawn. He cannot be targeted by spells.
- Don't use all your hard removal in this phase. The crashers are pretty easy to deal with and don't hurt as hard as they do in Phase 2!
Phase 2
- The boss spawns! He has 85 Health that you must take out together with your partner.
- Your hero power has changed! You can now spend 2 mana to deal 3 damage to the boss.
- The Party Crashers continue to spawn but now.. now they gain +2/+2!
- Do not under any circumstance fill your board. You want to have a slot open, otherwise, you get board cleared to make room the boss.
- Sometimes you will receive a treat when attacking the Pinata. These can help you draw cards, heal, or destroy Party Crashers.
- There is an AoE that goes out which deals 2 damage to everything that isn't a Party Crasher. Seems to happen either early on or later.

We emoted each other "thank you" and "well played" and "wow" the whole game, complementing each other on the plays we made. We rocked this shit, first time victory. Lots of fun. I love co-op brawls. Got an epic in my pack.
Friended him afterwards and then we helped each other complete our daily quests.
Today, I love Hearthstone.

Posted Aug 11, 2018 (Boomsday)It would be nice if at the start of each turn there came a pop up which say "Your opponent is your friend, do not kill them!!!". I conceded 3 games quite quickly, when seeing my opponent played against me, and then found a good opponent.

Posted Aug 11, 2018 (Boomsday)I played it once as I have the quest to win 3. I think my opponent was trying to kill me and then he ended up conceding.
If we're not meant to kill each other we're supposed to be doing CO-OP why was this dude treating it like a normal match. LoL.
Is this brawl one of the really annoying ones? I would like my 60G, but might just re-roll as it seems like it's going to eat into a ton of my time with the game. I'd rather be playing new decks.

Posted Aug 10, 2018 (Boomsday)I can't take it anymore, everything seems ok, we cooperate, and then, when boss down to 20hp he plays a minion that does 4 dmg from hand to my face and we loose. I have feeling that some players ruin it on purpose.

Posted Aug 9, 2018 (Boomsday)Yes, we get it, what he's saying (and I agree), is that it doesn't work properly. Many times I hit the button whit 10 spare mana, and the counter only goes up by 2. It could be intended, but when you read on the button description it says "make 10 decorations", so if it makes 2 instead of 10 there's crearly something wrong. And this happens many times...

Posted Aug 9, 2018 (Boomsday)Like many people said, this brawl is awfull. It would actually be really fun if it wasn't that apparently every random guy playing it is a f****** retarded... Thankfully I won at the second try, playing basically against the boss and my opponent, because literally no one get that it's a cooperative, and I played like 8 games... Also when it seems that they are getting it, at the end they neutralize your minions.
At the end is just frustrating having to play like this... Next time they should put a full screen text before the match starts that say "THIS IS A COOPERATIVE BRAWL, DO NOT TRY TO KILL YOUR OPPONENT, YOU HAVE TO KILL THE BOSS", but honestly I lost my hope so much since yesterday, that I think it probably won't work anyway...

Posted Aug 9, 2018 (Boomsday)This is by far one of the worst brawls ever. All the brainless aggro players just concede once they realize they can't go face once the party crasher with taunt spawns.
The reward for going through hours of attempting to complete this hell of a brawl should be a free Golden Legendary. NOT a 40 DUST PACK!!!!

Posted Aug 9, 2018 (Boomsday)I think the decoration hero power is bugged. Multiple times both my opponent and I used the power turn 1 and two which should equal 6 but the actual number is around 2-3. Once we were 7 away from 25 so I used the power with 7 mana and the total count went down by three. =/

When I played this back in the day, for every mana spent you would get a decoration, this time around the numbers dont match at all. There's even times where the number of decorations drops instead of going up.
I don't understand. Still an easy af brawl, even when you're playing with a brain dead mate. lol
