Naxx Purchase Issues

There have been some issues with players purchasing Naxxramas, the following is the latest information available as of 6:27PM EDT (Wednesday, July 30).

Good morning, everyone. We're continuing the monitor the payment issues that are happening when trying to purchase the Plague Quarter. Rest assured our technicians are on the case. 

In addition to the issues mentioned below, we wanted to let you know of other issues that we're also aware of. We don't have an ETA on these issues just yet, but our development team continues to investigate and are working towards a resolution.

  • In Game Shop closed intermittently
  • Double-billed for Naxxramas purchases
  • Being stuck or crashing while "Waiting for Authorization"
  • Naxxramas Wings are unavailable after successfully purchasing

For everyone who had a failed transaction (gold or cash purchase), please check your Order History in Account Management and let me know what you see. 

  • For failed purchases made by gold, the gold will be released back to you within 10 minutes or so.
  • For failed purchases made by cash on PC, the money will be released from your bank within 72 hours (per your financial institution's policies)
  • For failed purchases made by iTunes on iPad, the money will be reimbursed according to apple's policies.
  • For all cases where more than one purchase was successful (gold, cash, or iTunes), our development team continues to review and work towards a resolution for these.

We are able to see which accounts have multiple purchases that were successfully completed with the Plague Wing unlocked, so even if you haven't posted in this thread the resolution will be rolled out to you as well as soon as it's ready!

We are investigating cases where players are attempting to purchase the Curse of Naxxramas: Plague Quarter wing. Our technicians are on the case! To help aid their investigation, we'd like to collect some additional information:

  • Cash or Gold purchase: 
  • Error received (if any):

Some players may also encounter Shop Closed messages when attempting to purchase access to Naxxramas wings, which we are also investigating.

Heroic Noth the Plaguebringer

The first boss of the Plague Quarter is Noth the Plaguebringer, and he is quite the annoyance since he summons a 5/5 Skeleton every time one of your minions die. Decks with weak minions are not going to do well against Heroic Noth, so fill your deck up with beefy minions and heals to keep them alive to prevent the Skeletons from overrunning you. Be careful with the amount of minions on your side of the board though, Plague will destroy all your non-skeleton minions!

Heroic Heigan the Unclean

The second boss of the Plague Quarter is the safety dance man himself, Heigan the Unclean. Much like Heroic Maexxna, Heigan will always use Eruption at the start of his turn which will quickly get rid of a weak minion which may be on the left side of your board. Positioning on this fight is everything. Keep your strong minions on the left side and your weak ones on the right to avoid losing a minion before it gets to attack; Sometimes a sacrifice may need to be made though for the good of the board.

Players have been having success with the combo-oriented deck, Miracle Rogue, so give that a shot! Heigan's Mindpocalypse gives you some great card draw while also giving you an additional mana crystal to speed up the deck. Sap annoying taunt minions or Bloodmage Thalnos + Eviscerate to make quick work of them.

Heroic Loatheb

The third, and final, boss of the Plague Quarter is Loatheb, keeper of Spores. Minions with charge or ones that have some beefy health are crucial to this fight. You need to pop Spores when they appear on the field, but you also need to make sure that you have multiple minions which can benefit from the +8 to attack. Minions such as Elven Archer and Ironforge Rifleman can be very helpful in popping the Spores since they won't waste one of your on-the-field minion's attack for that turn.

Cards which summon tokens are also invaluable in this fight, just hope that they stay alive long enough to benefit from the buff!

Important! You cannot use Alexstrasza for this fight. Kel'Thuzad destroys her.
