She should have at least been 6 mana, so she would have roughly the same power level as Sylvanas Windrunner
Move aside, Possessed Lackey. Here comes a professional...
Is what I would say if Possessed Lackey wasn't objectively better. It only targets Demons, so you won't ever hit your tech, only your Voidlord and Doomguard. This card isn't bad, but there are already better cards. Here I was, expecting Lord Godfrey 2 and now here we are, getting Possessed Lackey 2, the horrible sequel.
You can try and turn this into a 5/5 PRE-NERF Dreadsteed, Baleful Banker it and it'll always swap itself back into the deck. This is huge, until you draw it and then the deathrattle triggers, nothing gets pulled, Dr. Morrigan is forever gone. "What are the odds of you drawing it though?" Very high. If you are only getting Morrigan back, then you must be out of minions and only have spells in deck, so your deck is probably thin. Not even 5 dmg to face a turn will be enough to make this dreadsteed combo worth pulling.
This is a bad standard card, but wild can make at least half their deck JUST Dr Morrigan with Baleful Banker and Brann Bronzebeard and that'll truly be fun, 7 5/5s on board that can never die. Won't be meta, just hilarious.
Based on the text, I think it works exactly like Madam Goya, which means it will shuffle itself back in the deck upon death.
1 question, why would you not play the void lord directly instead of getting it out with this card?
, No, the loop would last until you draw the second copy.
there is no loop... its swap not summon
There IS a loop. C’mon man learn this is language arts. When Dr. Morrison dies, she gets replaced by a minion IN your deck and she returns in your deck. If you have no minions in your deck when Dr. Morrison dies, the loop breaks.
I assume it'll just go until it reaches the hard limit for the number of times an effect can trigger, which I believe is 14 but I could be wrong
Since this is swap and not recruit, does she go back into your deck?
Yes, she does. Unless you have no minions left in your deck.
She does. That's probably why they statted her so low.
Isn't Silver Vanguard on par with this card if not better? I mean, the vanguard unlike this card guarantees you a strong (8 mana) minion for less mana/stats, is of common quality (cheaper dust-wise), available to any class and you can have 2 copies of it into the deck. I'm really curious on your opinions about this.
Silver Vanguard would probably be better if it said "a minion with a manacost of 8 or more", but the condition of the target minion needing to be exactly 8 mana is pretty restrictive. +2/+2 difference in stats is also huge.
I read the wording carefully and it says "swap". Does that mean Morrigan goes to your deck after being killed? B/c this really changes the value you gain.
Okay let's say you play Dr. Morrigan, in the same turn you use Baleful Banker on it.
Next turn you play Spiritsinger Umbra and kill the Dr. Morrigan.
For some reason you have no other minions in your deck left.
Will there be an infinite loop until the structure of space and time shatters??
What?
Nothing would happen, there is no loop. There is nothing that puts Morrigan back into the deck after the first Banker.
Morrigan seems exceptuonally promising, as she is a great target for silver vanguard, and Warlock sacrificial spells. As you mention, paired with Augmented Elekk, this could allow Warlock to go infinite... could. Only problem that I find is how one would preserve their elekks, would you copy them, cube them, etc.?
But still, this seems like an extremely promising card, and I could definitely see this in Demonlock.
it's not as bad as people say. There are reasonable ways to shuffel enough copies of this into the deck that you can basically have an infinite board for a couple turns at least. I'm just not sure whether that's worth it at all.
Grindy control decks don't look too good in a meta that looks like it'S going to be all about OTKs. Then again, Warlock is so far the only class with legitimate disruption. I just don't think it'S gonna work out tho..
This card could be unexpectedly powerful. Paired up with some clever tricks like Augmented Elekk, it could allow Warlock to go Infinite; they've always struggled with fatigue due to their crazy draw engine; this could spawn a supercontrol Warlock.
Being the only class that has combobreakers (Demonic Project, Gnomeferatu and Rin, the First Disciple and Howlfiend+Treachery); they might be the best, last hope of Control players in the combo-centric meta that is about to be artificially pushed.
I have tried Madam Goya with no minions in deck.
If there are people who wonders that like me, nothing happened, target minion stayed on battlefield.
So, this won't work like Malorne rather than I thought. :(
